Whether you're staying for a week or short break, this large luxury 19th century home is immediately impressive and will surpass all expectations. Upon entering, there is a welcoming space to shed coats, boots and walking gear, before making your way up the Victorian feature staircase. Arriving at the first floor, you can make yourself at home in the sitting room and take a seat in the stunning bay window overlooking the bustling high street, with views out to Walla Crag. Alternatively, settle in and relax on the comfortable sofa, in front of the wood burning stove which provides a great evening throughout the Autumn and Winter. There is a large Smart TV to relax and enjoy your favourite movie or series after a day of exploring.

Cookware essentials and high quality appliances, including a double oven and dishwasher, are paired with indulgent extras such as a Dualit coffee machine. Adjacent to the kitchen is a contemporary dining room, complete with a bespoke Pippy oak hand-crafted live edge table and comfy chair seating, along with mood lighting and carefully curated art works creating ambience for an extra special dining experience.

As you explore the upper floors at the Eyrie you will find four high-end luxury bedrooms with ensuites, all featuring heated towel rails and underfloor heating. There are three super king sized beds and one twin bedroom (two are zip/link for versatility), fitted with luxury bespoke mattresses, and made up with luxury white bed linen and fluffy towels. Ullswater is another nearby attraction surrounded by mountains, where you can enjoy a lake cruise, hire a boat or take a guided walk. For a variety of cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops, head to Cockermouth, a popular nearby market town, with plenty of history to discover, such as its medieval Castle. With so much to offer both within and without, as well as delivering an enhanced boutique experience, The Eyrie is the perfect, stylish home from home to ensure that your visit to the Lake District will be one to remember forever.

This is a breathtaking property. From the moment you step in to the three story house your expectations are surpassed. The space is perfect for 8 people to come together and also to have their own privacy . The beds are fantastic, and for everyone to have their own private bathroom was a real treat .The penthouse suite also has views from the bath tub as you take a soak . Every room has great views of the mountains . In the evening you are literally 2 minutes away from the town centre, its so convenient . We have been coming to the lakes for many years but this is by far the best property we have stayed in .
We had a wonderful week in The Eyrie. It was perfect for us and our three adult children and their partners with plenty of space for everyone to relax. The views were spectacular and overall we all thought it was an awesome place to stay. Thank you, we will be back.
Totally recommend. We received a really helpful text and email from the owner before we arrived giving additional check in info. On entry to the house is a boot room with heated boot racks. You go up the stairs to find brilliant accommodation. All 4 bedrooms were immaculate. Like top hotel rooms. Lounge was super comfy and kitchen has everything you need. The decor is gorgeous with lots of interesting art to look at. Already thinking about staying again next year.
Great location, very spacious and perfect for groups of 8 adults.
