Description

The heart of Rock Lynn is the lounge: homely and bright, with two comfortable leather settees and a lovely open fireplace, perfect for cosy winter nights.

There are fabulous views towards the fells from the main bay window and side window. This is a perfect room to relax and unwind in while enjoying the views of the surrounding fells and village.

The newly-refurbished kitchen-diner is fully fitted and very well equipped, including a hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and microwave, with a dining table and four chairs. French doors lead to the private patio area.

Off the kitchen there is a useful utility area with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and plenty of space to store walking gear after a day on the fells.

There are two very comfortable bedrooms. The front double bedroom boasts a superking bed, and an en-suite shower room with shower, WC and wash hand basin.

The second bedroom has two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with bath, WC and wash hand basin.

Both bedrooms have zip-linked beds which means that either room can be made up as a double or a twin room. If you require a change in configuration of beds (eg two doubles or two twin rooms) a charge of £15.00 will be made.

The bedrooms will be made up with luxury white bed linen and towels for your arrival.

This is a lovely, bright bungalow with plenty of space, private parking to the front for up to four cars, a private patio to the side with picnic bench and the most incredible views towards numerous fells.

Rock Lynn is an ideal property where you can escape and relax, but within striding distance of the pubs, the village shop and a range of walking routes.

To the back of the bungalow there is a steep grassed area where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the fells.

The property now features a wood fired hot tub for no extra charge. Logs are provided.

Braithwaite is a cosy, close-knit village just outside of Keswick. With a village shop, three local pubs, and plenty of walks right on your doorstep, you won’t even need to leave the village.

If you’re looking to venture out into the Lake District without a car, Braithwaite is serviced by the X4 and X5 bus services, running all the way from Workington to Penrith, linking Braithwaite to local train stations.

Fabulous place.
We can not fault this property for its comfort, cleanliness and location. It has everything you could possibly need or want for a fabulous break away. The bed was so comfortable the main shower was so powerful, just wonderful, the kitchen was well equipped, has everything you possibly need, brilliant. Having the utility room to come into with our dog and muddy boots after a long day out walking was a bonus. The view's are wonderful, the location just a few minutes walk into the lovely village where therei s a fabulous little shop and great pubs etc. The only disappointment for us was the hot tub, it says it takes 1 and a half to 2 hours to get to temperature but although we kept the fire going really well with the abundance of logs etc provided it actually took 2 hours 40 minutes to get to 38° and when finally getting in it, it was still luke warm at the bottom, very disappointed hence getting out and not bothering to use it again throughout the holiday. However as everything else got 10 out of 10 we would definitely return.

Hi Carol, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review. We’re absolutely delighted to hear how much you enjoyed Rock Lynn — from the comfort and cleanliness to the fantastic location. It’s wonderful to know the cottage had everything you needed for a fabulous break, and that the super?comfy bed, powerful shower, and well?equipped kitchen all helped make your stay so enjoyable. The utility room is indeed a real bonus after long days out exploring, especially with a dog in tow! We’re also so pleased you enjoyed those lovely views and the short stroll into the village — it really is a charming little place with everything you might need close by. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that the hot tub didn’t heat up as expected. We completely understand how disappointing that must have been, especially when you’d looked forward to using it. We’ll make sure this feedback is passed on so the issue can be thoroughly checked, as we want every part of your stay to be just right. It means so much that, despite this, everything else was a 10 out of 10 for you — and we’re thrilled to hear you would definitely return. We’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you back to Rock Lynn for another stay. Warmest wishes, Keswick Cottages

A cottage with a view and a hot tub!
Very comfortable and well appointed bungalow with fantastic views. Lovely terrace if the weather's nice enough to sit out. And the hot tub is great, whatever the weather! We love Braithwaite so the property was ideally located for access to the local pubs and village shop.

Hi, Sarah! Thank you so much for your lovely review. It’s wonderful to hear how comfortable you felt in the bungalow and that those fantastic views—and the terrace—made your stay even more special. The hot tub really is a treat in any weather, so we’re delighted you enjoyed it. Braithwaite has such a warm, welcoming feel, and it’s great to know the location worked perfectly for you with the pubs and village shop just a stroll away. We’d be thrilled to welcome you back whenever you’re ready for another visit. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Cosy well equipped and located cottage, a perfect base for walking, pubs and access to Keswick’s amenities.
After Christmas we booked another stay at Rock Lynn. A wonderful property in a great little village just outside of Keswick. The ideal property as a base for walks or just a week's peace and quiet. Some great walks and strolls from the front door, and we took advantage of its perfect location....and the property was spotlessly clean. All in all, another great week.
Another lovely stay with Keswick Cottages. Rock Lynn was clean, tidy, and well equipped with lovely walks direct from the door, and a pub and shop just down the road in Braithwaite. The driveway and garden are steep and could be a problem if you have mobility issues!
