Rock Lynn is a detached bungalow set in an elevated position above Braithwaite village with the most fabulous views over the village towards Skiddaw, the Helvellyn range and right round to Barrow which you can enjoy from the wood fired hot tub. Superbly fitted and equipped with everything and more to ensure a wonderful stay in the Keswick area. Outside there is a large private patio complete with barbeque enabling you to spend some quality time with family whilst enjoying the stunning views. Full gas central heating and double glazing. Description

The lounge is homely and bright, with two comfortable leather settees and a lovely open fireplace perfect for cosy Winter nights. There are fabulous views towards the fells from the main bay window and side window. This is a perfect room in which to relax and just look out admiring the views.

The newly refurbished dining kitchen is fully fitted and very well equipped with hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher microwave, plenty of crockery and glassware, dining table and four chairs and french doors which lead to the patio area. Off the kitchen there is a useful utility area with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and plenty of space to store walking gear after a day on the fells.

There are two very comfortable bedrooms, one double room with a super king size bed, pine furniture, and coordinating fabrics. The front bedroom has an en-suite shower room with shower, WC and wash hand basin. The second bedroom is again well finished and has two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with bath, WC and wash hand basin. Both bedrooms have zip-linked beds which means that either room can be made up as a double or a twin room. If you require a change in configuration of beds. (eg two doubles or two twin rooms) a charge of £15.00 will be made. The bedrooms will be made up with luxury white bed linen and towels for your arrival.

This is a lovely, bright bungalow with plenty of space, private parking to the front for up to four cars, a private patio to the side with picnic bench and the most exceptional views towards numerous fells. Rock Lynn is an ideal property where you can escape and relax but within striding distance of the pubs and shop and superb walking from the doorstep. To the back of the bungalow there is a steep grassed area where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the fells.

It would be easy to park up and enjoy a jam-packed car-free holiday. Braithwaite amenities include three lovely pubs serving food and local ales, village shop and a tearoom. There’s nearby Whinlatter Forest along with a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities to choose from, a nearby bus stop with routes taking you all over the Lake District, and Keswick town centre only minutes away.

The property now features a wood fired hot tub for no extra charge. Logs provided.

Wonderful cottage
We loved our stay at Rock Lynn, the cottage was heated for our arrival and was spotless. Many thanks for the fresh milk and biscuits greatly appreciated. Kitchen was well appointed, everything you needed to make a meal. Beds were comfortable and we slept well. Both en-suites had good hot showers. The view from the front was amazing looking out onto the surrounding hills which had a covering of snow, we couldn't have planned it better. We had the use of the hot tub which was wonderful even although it was below zero outside. If I could suggest a mat at the back door in the utility room? We would certainly return to Rock Lynn as it's one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

Rock lynn
A comfortable bungalow with far reaching impressive views, though the extremely steep drive is something we'd rather not tackle in icy weather. Keswick Cottages have very good customer service and the digital information ahead of visiting is very helpful. A nice welcome pack and lovely and warm on arrival. Overall would definitely recommend this property

Great cottage, beautiful setting
Great cottage, spacious, 2 bathrooms, well kitted out. Amazing setting, walks from your doorstep, handy for Keswick, Derwent Water, Buttermere, etc.

Hi Robert, Thank you for your review. Rock Lynn in Braithwaite is the perfect base for a break in the Lake District. There is lots to do right on your door step such as fell walks or even Go Ape up at Whinlatter visitor centre. There is a bus service that runs though the village that will take you all over the Lakes so no need to use your car once you've parked up. We hope you had a fantastic holiday. After Christmas we booked another stay at Rock Lynn. A wonderful property in a great little village just outside of Keswick. The ideal property as a base for walks or just a week's peace and quiet. Some great walks and strolls from the front door, and we took advantage of its perfect location....and the property was spotlessly clean. All in all, another great week.

Another lovely stay with Keswick Cottages. Rock Lynn was clean, tidy, and well equipped with lovely walks direct from the door, and a pub and shop just down the road in Braithwaite. The driveway and garden are steep and could be a problem if you have mobility issues!

Rock Lynn is a clean, comfortable house with wonderful views. It is in a peaceful village and is well situated for good walks and climbs.
