Great location, tired house
Lovely area, great views etc but the cottage is very old and tired. Bathroom new bit kitchen is very poor and old. Damp under one cupboard, you have to guess what the dials on the grill and oven are as they are so worn. It wasn’t the cleanest either, cob webs in kitchen and the back yard had wobbly flags which also need attention. Needs bringing up to date and would be lovely little cottage.
Excellent
This cottage is very comfortable, in a great spot, very well equipped for self catering. This was our third stay and will not be our last, the only gripe on this occasion is the toilet roll was nearly empty, it would have been nice if a refil were left.
Stanger Cottage
We spent a great week in the cottage which was in a great location very handy for walks from the door and local transport. The cottage itself had excellent facilities and was very well equipped for self catering.

Thank you so much for your review about Stanger Cottage! We are so happy that you had a great week and we agree it is situated perfectly to enjoy walks as soon as you step outside the front door! We are so glad you found the cottage well equipped for your holiday! We hope to welcome you back when you visit again! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

Excellent property in ideal situation for walking in northern lakes. Well equipped cottage with everything we needed.
Another excellent stay at Stanger cottage. We have 2 kids aged 3 and 6 and 2 dogs, 1 of which is a 5 month pup. It’s perfect for us all and we are getting ready to book again. We didn’t want to leave! Very close to 2 pubs, plenty walks from the doorstep and we found the children’s park just 1 min walk away too. Everything you could need in cottage and fast response from owner should you need anything else (we asked for some logs which were delivered straight away). Amazing holiday, we will be back! Thank you!!
A great cottage in a great location that is well looked after year after year. While the price has more than doubled since we started staying here having looked at other options Stanger is still our top pick.
