All rooms have fantastic views of the fells which are on the door step, and is just a stride away from the local pubs, restaurants, village shop and Whinlatter Forest park is just a few minutes drive away. We had a great New Year break here. Cosy cottage with all facilities necessary. Great location with good pubs and excellent village shop all within a few minutes’ walk. Lovely walks from the door and easy access by car to Keswick, Borrowdale, Whinlatter forest.
Sarah from Surrey 28th December 2017
2nd year of staying at Stanger Cottage and did not disappoint. Fabulous location, home from home, still high standard of facilities and fully equipped. My children love it here so much so they asked how much it would be to buy the property, they did not want to come home. Stanger Cottage is perfect, just blissfully perfect.
Beverley hope from Newcastle 28th August 2017
Very pleased with the cottage- lovely place to stay, and places to visit, I would definitely recommend.
Young from Nottingham 20th August 2016
What a fabulous find. Cottage more than exceeded expectations, well equipped larger than expected, beds so comfortable, nice touch with soft toys, books, games and DVD for rainy days. Braithwaite is our favourite village and the views are spectacular even from the bathroom. Would recommend stanger cottage to anyone.
beverley from Newcastle 29th August 2016
Second stay in Stanger Cottage. Had a great two weeks. Lots of walks from the door. Cottage is well equipped and comfortable, would definitely stay again. And excellent service from Keswick Cottages staff. Great to be able to have the dog with us and he loved his visits to the Coledale Inn!

We have had a very enjoyable week. Loved the location and Braithwaite is beautiful, convenient for so many walks with Alfie the dog. So nice to come back to after the business of Keswick.

Lovely cottage with all mod cons. Lovely weather, couldn’t ask for more. 5 days are not enough. Loved it! Lovely meal at Horse and Farrier, Threlkeld and Dog and Gun, Keswick.
