Overview

Rock Lynn is a detached bungalow set in an elevated position above Braithwaite village with the most fabulous views over the village towards Skiddaw, the Helvellyn range and right round to Barrow. Superbly fitted and equipped with everything and more to ensure a wonderful stay in the Keswick area. Outside there is a large private patio complete with barbeque enabling you to spend some quality time with family whilst enjoying the stunning views. Full gas central heating and double glazing. Ample Parking.

Description

The lounge is homely and bright, with two comfortable leather settees and a lovely open fireplace perfect for cosy Winter nights. There are fabulous views towards the fells from the main bay window and side window. This is a perfect room in which to relax and just look out admiring the views.

The newly refurbished dining kitchen is fully fitted and very well equipped with hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher microwave, plenty of crockery and glassware, dining table and four chairs and french doors which lead to the patio area. Off the kitchen there is a useful utility area with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and plenty of space to store walking gear after a day on the fells.

There are two very comfortable bedrooms, one double room with a super king size bed, pine furniture, and coordinating fabrics. The front bedroom has an en-suite shower room with shower, WC and wash hand basin. The second bedroom is again well finished and has two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with bath, WC and wash hand basin. Both bedrooms have zip-linked beds which means that either room can be made up as a double or a twin room. If you require a change in configuration of beds. (eg two doubles or two twin rooms) a charge of £15.00 will be made. The bedrooms will be made up with luxury white bed linen and towels for your arrival.

This is a lovely, bright bungalow with plenty of space, private parking to the front for up to four cars, a private patio to the side with picnic bench and the most exceptional views towards numerous fells. Rock Lynn is an ideal property where you can escape and relax but within striding distance of the pubs and shop and superb walking from the doorstep. To the back of the bungalow there is a steep grassed area where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the fells.

Great cottage in an excellent location.
My wife and I are regular visitors to the Lake District. We spend at least two separate weeks each year there in self catering accommodation. Keswick Cottages is the only company we use as we like to support local business and we find that their customer service is first class. This is the 2nd time we've visited Rock Lynn. It has a very good situation with great views, good access and parking. The location is great for general access to all of the Lake District and also the amenities available in Keswick in particular. The cottage itself is well equipped, very clean, recently refurbished, well maintained and spacious. The beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are modern and very practical. The kitchen dining room is well equipped with a utility room has good washing and drying facilities. The owner lives nearby, which is handy if there are any issues. We paid for early checking in, which hadn't been communicated to the cleaner. This only delayed our access to the premises by 30 minutes. We contacted Keswick Cottages who immediately refunded our early checkin payment without hesitation. The only concern I had was that the settees in the living room aren't very comfortable. This was a significant issue for me as I have a back problem. By the end of the week I found that I was suffering from more than usual discomfort which I put down to the lounge seating. Overall however, this is a great option which we will be seeking to book again in the future.

Beautiful home in the hills
We had a wonderful week in the Lake District. Braithwaite is ideally located for accessing the northern Lakes. Rock Lynn is a very comfortable home with walks into the hills from the front door. It is well equipped with a lovely outdoor space and views. There are also some very good eateries within walking distance. It is close to the Keswick bypass so you can avoid the busy centre of Keswick. The Winlatter Forest activity centre is also very close with walks and mountain biking.

After Christmas we booked another stay at Rock Lynn. A wonderful property in a great little village just outside of Keswick. The ideal property as a base for walks or just a week's peace and quiet. Some great walks and strolls from the front door, and we took advantage of its perfect location....and the property was spotlessly clean. All in all, another great week.

Another lovely stay with Keswick Cottages. Rock Lynn was clean, tidy, and well equipped with lovely walks direct from the door, and a pub and shop just down the road in Braithwaite. The driveway and garden are steep and could be a problem if you have mobility issues!

Rock Lynn is a clean, comfortable house with wonderful views. It is in a peaceful village and is well situated for good walks and climbs.
