Description

The Eyrie is a unique property in Keswick, that has been carefully upgraded with natural elements sourced from the surrounding lands and local artisans. Being a four-story townhouse, it has breathtaking mountain views from 16 separate windows.

Whether you're staying for a week or short break, this large, luxury 19th century home is immediately impressive and will surpass all expectations. Upon entering, there is a welcoming space to shed coats, boots and walking gear, before making your way up the Victorian feature staircase. Arriving at the first floor, you can make yourself at home in the sitting room and take a seat in the stunning bay window overlooking the bustling high street, with views out to Walla Crag. Alternatively, settle in and relax on the comfortable sofa, in front of the wood-burning stove. There is a large Smart TV to relax and enjoy your favourite movie or series after a day of exploring.

When thoughts turn to dinner, the Eyrie has a stylish and well-equipped kitchen with personally sourced Italian Granite worktops that will make cooking a pleasure. Cookware essentials and high-quality appliances, including a double oven and dishwasher, are paired with indulgent extras such as a Dualit coffee machine. Adjacent to the kitchen is a contemporary dining room, complete with a bespoke Pippy oak, hand-crafted live edge table and comfy chair seating, along with mood lighting and carefully curated art works, setting the mood for an extra special dining experience.

As you explore the upper floors at the Eyrie, you'll find four high-end luxury bedrooms with en-suites, all featuring heated towel rails and underfloor heating. There are four comfortable, superking beds (two are zip-and-link for versatility, and can be made up as twin beds), fitted with luxury bespoke mattresses, and made up with luxury white bed linen and fluffy towels. The 'penthouse' top floor suite, as well as accommodating a bedroom and sitting area within, also encompasses a magnificent double shower bathroom and well-placed work-study zone, where the distracting views over the Keswick rooftops to Latrigg and Skiddaw beyond are a constant temptation to down tools.

Guests can enjoy complimentary WiFi and two car parking permits for the nearby long stay car park.

Keswick offers plenty of activities and amenities for your stay. Whether you’re looking for adventure activities, retail therapy, or new and exciting things to do, there’s something to keep everyone entertained.

Need to stock up on groceries for your self-catering Keswick holiday? Booths and Co-Op are Keswick’s two main supermarkets, with produce also available on the Keswick Markets.

If you’re looking to venture out into the Lake District without a car, Keswick is serviced by the X4 and X5 bus services, running all the way from Workington to Penrith, linking Keswick to local train stations

Fabulous place
I really don't want to write a review because then everyone else will know about this place , Fantastic , immaculate , really well equipped house , I was a bit worried not having a garden with 3 dogs but the park being 30 seconds walk away made up for that. Parking was free and a minutes walk away as was the town centre. We had a minor issue with the dishwasher , I let Keswick cottages know , more for the next guest and they had someone there within the hour to fix it . Can't recommend the Eyrie or Keswick cottages enough , We will be back

House & Location
High spec throughout. Useful all rooms having on suite. Impressive decor. No garden but park close by. Great location for town. No parking on site means transporting luggage but the car parks are close by. All in all a very pleasant holiday at a well equipped property.

Hi, Chris. We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We love the decor too! It's just as impressive as the views of Walla Crag. Maybe the views have inspired you to take a trek up there! Make sure to charge up using the Dualit Coffee Machine provided. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

A lovely place to relax and unwind. Close to restaurants and nature. So many beautiful walks from the front door.
We are just back from a fabulous weekend. We absolutely loved the house, the quality of the furnishings, the wood, the slate , the granite, and the art. A fantastic place for 8 people, loads of space, a great lounge and a Fantastic dining space. The beds were super comfy and the bathrooms were gorgeous. We wanted to be central, and this certainly is, shops and restaurants on the doorstep, and a walkable distance to the lake. We loved it, and we will definitely return.
Beautiful, large property with designer level upgrades and decor; kitchen dining and living rooms all spectacular. Four Bedrooms are all roomy and comfortable, three with full en-suite baths. Perfect base for exploring the Lakes District area with dining and shopping options a short walk from the property.
