Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Lovely week at Crosthwaite Gardens
Had a lovely week away staying at Crosthwaite Gardens. On arrival the property was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The location is excellent in a very quiet street but just a few minutes walk into Keswick town centre where there are numerous good places to eat and drink . We are regular visitors to Keswick and know how hard it is to find a property with off street parking and a garden space to enjoy. Crosthwaite gardens was perfect for our holiday and we have already booked again for next year.

Hi Rachael, Thank you for your review. We are so pleased to hear that you had a lovely stay at Crosthwaite Gardens and are thrilled to hear that you have already booked again for next year. We hope you had plenty of adventures and had a few games of table tennis on the ping pong table in the garage. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

A fortnight at Crossthwaite Gardens
Every practical arrangement has been addressed. The cottage is light, airy and maintained to a high standard and suited a family of 3 generations. Customer service from Keswick Cottages is responsive and helpful.

Hi Corinne, Thank you for your review of Crosthwaite Gardens. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Keswick and found everything you needed. The house is in a lovely quiet area but only a short walk in to the town. The ping pong table in the garage is an added bonus to this property. Best wishes, Sarah Keswick Cottages

This is a very comfortable and well maintained property, possibly one of the best we have been too,
The only problem we found was that the storm protection at the gate caught on the underside of the car (Toyota Carolla), I realise that allot of people have Big cars with high suspensions so that will not be a problem to them. However, I found a solution to the problem by placing some 2x1 inch strips of wood behind the lip of the gate entrance bar, (found wood in garage). enabling the car to go through the gate without any problems. As this could seriously damage the underside of the car it is not something I could ignore, but the solution (as described) is easily solved by making something permanent which could be easily removed in case of a flood warning while putting the flood barriers in place. Other than that I highly recommend this property, The TV options were remarkable (good on rainy days) the beds were very comfortable, One of the bedrooms has a very low sloping ceiling at one end on which I did bang my head on first entry, and I could see I was not the first LOL. Just a minor point though Lounge very comfortable and Kitchen dinning room excellent

Thank you very much for your feedback. The owner is going to look at creating a slight ramp over the flood prevention barrier. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the facilities, the owners have recently re-furbished the kitchen and put a lovely new reclining suite in the lounge to ensure guest comfort! We hope to welcome you again very soon. Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

Our second stay at this lovely property. Clean, comfortable and in a quiet location with off street parking ( a real plus in this area ). We have already booked to return. Keswick Cottages is a local firm. They are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this property and this company.
We’ve had a lovely stay here. Comfy beds, great showers and toasty warm, especially since the Lakes lived up to it’s name by raining every day. The kitchen was also well equipped to eat in. Enjoyed playing the games they had there, watching a film on Netflix on the large TV or listen to music from the Google Dot or just reading. All in all an enjoyable stay but ordering sun next time!
This was the second time we have stayed at Crosthwaite Gardens and every bit as enjoyable as the first. The beds are super comfortable and everything you need for a happy and successful self catering holiday is available. There is even a full sized ping pong table in the garage complete with good table tennis bats and ball, gave us a lot of fun on a couple of evenings. Thanks go to the owners who have thought of everything and we will hopefully return again when we next visit the Lakes.
