Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Keswick Cottages must be doing something right!
As good (and it was very good) as the first time we stayed here - 14 years of annual visits. Long may it continue.

Hi Rosemary, Thank you for your lovely review! We are a small, local team so comments like this really make our day. It's so good to hear that you have been coming back for so many years and hopefully for many more to come. We hope you had another fantastic stay and we can't wait to welcome you back. Best wishes, Keswick Cumbria

Birchgate
A good value cottage, conveniently located for the town and with the advantage of its own parking space.

Hi David, Thank you for your review of Birchgate. It is a lovely cottage that is perfectly located in a quiet area but not too far from the town centre. It's own parking space is an added bonus. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

Lovely cottage in a great area
We were very pleased with Birchgate. A lovely cottage, tastefully furnished. Bed was very comfortable, and there was everything we needed in the kitchen. Shower was pretty powerful. Nice quiet area easily within walking distance of Keswick but tucked away. We felt very at home there. Couple small points - it is a very tight turn into the row of cottages and even tighter to get on the drive so worth noting if you have a larger vehicle. Could do with some more instructions especially for bin day as we had no idea you had to take bins to end of the road so missed the collection as we were out all day. Think the fridge may be in its way out as even on the coldest setting it wasn't particularly cold. All in all a very good place to stay and I think we would go back.

Lovely place to stay, a nice cottage within easy walk of Keswick town centre and Derwent Water.
Enjoyed the stay here, lovely place and will definitely be back. Has its own parking spot which is great because parking wasn’t the best in the surrounding areas.
What a perfect little place to stay. Just right size with lovely lounge with an open fire and close to Keswick centre. We enjoyed walks directly from the cottage so only drove once in the week. Hosts responsive and friendly and there was a little Xmas tree and few other decorations to make it feel homely and Christmassy. We loved staying there and would love to return.
