Number Five The Townhouses accommodates up to eight adults, in three double or king bedrooms and one twin bedroom, over three floors of bright, freshly renovated accommodation. Rustic bench and vintage metal seating are provided in the kitchen, which is finished to high specification in timber. Number Five retains the turn-of-the-century blue and red hall floor tiles and some of the period bedroom fireplaces (decorative only). A log-burning stove offers cosy warmth in the living area. Guests benefit from a new bathroom and a further shower room, with the latter at ground level. One bedroom is also at ground floor level for those who prefer to avoid stairs. A twin room is available on the second floor on request. Guests at Number Five benefit from a secluded outdoor area with seating to relax at the end of a day exploring the fells, together with lockable outdoor storage and useful gated fenced perimeter.

Fully refurbished and styled to a beautiful high standard, the Townhouses offer you the option to stay together with friends or family in your very own private Lakeland residence. Built at the turn of the century in the vernacular slate architecture, the Townhouses are warm and welcoming yet stylish, light and spacious. The houses are tastefully stocked to make your stay in the Lake District a pleasure. Many period features are retained and sympathetically restored, including original floor tiles, fireplaces and ceiling coving. The four elegant bedrooms are spread out over three floors for space, comfort and privacy. On the ground floor there is a spacious bedroom with king size bed,  a well stocked kitchen teamed with rustic bench and vintage metal seating, and also a shower room to the back of the house.  Essentials such as new cutlery, utensils, cookware and appliances are paired with indulgent little extras such as a new espresso machine and a selection of espresso pods.  The stylish living area is on the first floor with a log burning stove to complement the new central heating enjoyed throughout.  A flat screen smart TV permits access to Netflix, Now TV, Amazon Prime  (please bring your subscription details to log in to these services) as well as a DVD player and normal TV channels. Also on the first floor is the main family bathroom, and a double bedroom. Cole and Lewis bathroom toiletries are offered in the bath and shower rooms, together with fresh towels. The twin bedroom is on the 2nd floor and can be made up as super-king on request (please be aware there is a £15 charge for this service), along with another double bedroom. High specification wifi is provided throughout for your convenience and connectivity to home. Each house has its own private outdoor area, with seating to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine at the end of the day.   The restaurants, wine bars, supermarkets and other diversions of Keswick are only a moment’s walk away yet the quietude of the fells can be experienced in under an hour’s walk or a few minutes drive.  Windows open onto views of Skiddaw and Latrigg to the north and to Catbells over the rooftops of Keswick to the south. Visitors to No.5 have the conveniance of two complimentary parking permits to the adjacent long stay car park. Additional parking permits may be available to hire at £25 for a week or £15 for a short break, subject to availability. Please note the Townhouses are not available for hen or stag events.

Stayed here recently and it exceeded our expectations. Furnished and fitted out to a very high standard, has everything you need. Exceptionally clean and although pet friendly, which was great for us, you would never have known pets had stayed. Excellent location, just a short walk to the centre of Keswick with all the amenities. Would highly recommend

Stayed in cottage number 5 at the begging of November for 2 days. Great location, the house is warm and homely, clean and trendy. The house is well equipped, you will not want for anything. The accommodation is centrally located, 2 minute walk to the town square and fifteen minutes to the lakeside. Will be returning to Keswick next summer, hopefully we shall be able to book this charming house again for a lovely relaxing weekend .

Stayed in Keswick with family and friends to celebrate Peter, my husband’s 60th. The 2 Townhouses, we stayed in number 3 and 5, were fantastic. The location was great, just a short walk to the centre of Keswick. The houses were clean, spacious and well equipped. We have never stayed in a cottage before, previously always bed and breakfast. But I am now hooked and will definitely be booking again.

Incredibly roomy, surprisingly large house with great beds, clean and well-decorated, and with a good kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The house is on a main road but not too noisy, though we all slept in rear bedrooms. The garden is a yard, and the only quibble was that the outdoor furniture was not as clean as everything else in the house. Keswick is a wonderful town with good places to eat and drink, a great theatre, a cute cinema, & vegans are catered for in a lot of cafes and restaurants. We swam in Buttermere and Ullswater, both lovely lakes, and walked every day nearby. We found driving home southwards that we preferred this part of the Lake District to the softer, more wooded southern part. Highly recommended

The house is just round the corner from the centre of town and provides two parking permits which was ideal for a weekend break during the Mountain Festival. It is very well-equipped and furnished to a high quality in all rooms. The living room is very cosy and comfy and the kitchen is great. No complaints at all, would perhaps suggest adding black-out curtains/a blind in the bedroom as was very light in the mornings. Overall a lovely place to stay!

We used 5 the townhouses for a team meeting/build. Fantastic location close to town Centre and lake. Rooms were spacious, stylish and clean and the whole house was well equipped. We all felt we got great value for money and will definitely look to come here again. Thank you.

Very central location in Keswick, ideal for shops, pubs, and start of many walks. Comfy beds and large bedrooms. Kitchen was well equipped but had very little worktop space and was ‘cosy’ with 6 people in there together. Parking wasn’t an issue as the car park is literally over the road and we bought an extra permit for £15 for 4 nights.

Would highly recommend the Town Houses in Keswick - perfect for a group of eight wanting modern accommodation in a central location. We stayed as two families of four and had a great time! Perfect base for walking the surrounding areas or visiting the attractions in central Keswick (only a two min stroll away with lots to do come rain or shine!)

I would definately recommend this house and would stay there again. It is a 2 minute walk from the centre of Keswick which is spot on. Pet friendly though still very clean and modern inside. A log burner in the living room which is always a bonus after a lake district walk in the pouring rain. We loved it and would definately stay there again.
