Set right in the heart of Keswick this property offers everything you could need, modern facilities, spacious rooms, high ceilings, views over the town centre to the fells beyond and easy access to restaurants, shops, cafes, pubs, shops etc and less 100 metres from Fitz park. Ideal for larger groups or anyone who wants to forget about the car and be right in the hub of the vibrant town.

Description

The accommodation consists of 2 large double bedrooms, one with bay window overlooking one of the main shopping areas of the town, a ¾ bedroom and single bedroom. All are well furnished with oak furniture, include luxury linen and towels, and have co-ordinating fabrics.

There are 2 luxury bathrooms, both have baths, walk-in showers and heated towel rails.

The kitchen and living area are located on the top floor and enjoy magnificent panoramic views. The fully fitted kitchen has a slate floor, granite worktops and integrated appliances with an abundance of storage and worktop space. The living / dining area, which is light and airy with a high ceiling, has a wall-mounted Smart TV, DVD player and CD player, two leather settees, dining table & six comfortable dining chairs.

There is a utility / drying room next to the main entrance and plenty of space for boots and coats.

Although there is no allocated parking, two parking permits are provided. Access is via a metal staircase (at the rear of the building) which leads to the entrance door on the first floor of this Victorian building.

Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Comfortable stay at Crandy Nook again!
Second time at the property and every bit as good as the first. Excellent area for taking off boots and walking gear, the property is comfortable, well equipped and furnished to a high standard. A central location accessed from the rear with free parking (note this is a 2 minute walk but we were able to unload/load on our arrival/departure outside). Beds were great, slept so well! Having a bathroom per 2 bedrooms on same floor as them is a plus. The only negatives are the flights of stairs, which could be an issue for some, and a general smell of food from the cafe below which permeated to the upper floor. Also leaving one toilet roll per bathroom is stingy for a week's stay. None of this would prevent us staying again though as it is a lovely property or booking with Keswick Cottages as I always do.

Hi Paul, Thank you for review. The central location of Crandy Nook make it perfect for people who are exploring the area. It is a very short walk in to the town centre and there are plenty of walks you can do right from the doorstep. The views from the top floor of the surrounding fells provide great inspiration for the next day's activities. Any starter provisions are provided to make your arrival easier in case you haven't had time to pop to the shops. Lovely property
Loved our family stay at Crandy Nook. Access to property is round back of building and up metal stairs. Living area on top floor with lovely views and well equipped kitchen . Location brilliant for centre of Keswick.

Comfortable apartment in the very centre of Keswick
Stayed in a Crandy Nook for 5 nights for some winter walking. Great location, near all the shops, pubs etc. It is well appointed, with decent furniture. Kitchen has everything you need, and lots of china so everything can go into the dishwasher. Lovely view from the dining table makes you want to get your walking gear on, and get out there. Service from Keswick Cottages was efficient and helpful

We stayed in one of Keswick Cottages' properties in the middle of Keswick. The place was exactly as described, very centrally located, well furnished and clean. Communications before and afterwards with the company all worked well. The instructions on entry were clear and everything inside worked.

Lovely accommodation, spacious with everything you could possibly need for a long weekend stay! Right in the centre of Keswick, an amazing location and perfect stay for the weekend of my sisters engagement! Would defiantly recommend and stay again, thank you x
