As you enter Bridge House you immediately get a feeling of warmth and comfort. It is very spacious and extremely well equipped. Lots of character including original beamed ceilings and window shutters. There are two parking spaces. On the ground floor there is a fabulous and very well equipped dining kitchen with large oak dining table and eight chairs. Well fitted kitchen with induction hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. A separate utility room has a washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board and plenty of coat hooks. There is one large ground floor bedroom with pine bed, wardrobe and drawers, window shutters and the original fireplace. The en-suite has a large shower cubicle, w.c, wash basin and shaver point. This bedroom has been designed with the elderly and disabled in mind. The grand Georgian staircase leads to the first floor. Here the second bedroom has twin beds (again furnished in pine) and a bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, w.c, wash basin and shaver point. The spacious lounge has three comfortable settees, marble fireplace over a black grate, t.v, video, c.d player and excellent views towards Skiddaw. This room is full of character with its beams and window shutters. On the second floor there are two further bedrooms (one double, one twin) both with high beamed ceilings and excellent views of the surrounding fells. Both again have pine furniture and are very spacious. There is also a large shower room on this floor with shower, w.c, wash basin and shaver point. A pack of towels (bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel) are provided per bedroom.

Love Keswick Cottages. Have stayed with them since they first opened when only the cottage was ready. Have stayed in all of them at some point apart from the Mews and my favourite is Bridge house followed by Apt 2. Bridge house is wonderful with plenty of space even if it was full to maximum occupancy. It has just been refurbished and looks amazing. Great boot room/ cloak room and extra places to hang coats etc in the front porch if needed. Kitchen well equipped all though we eat our evening meal out. Plenty of walks to do from the door or you can catch a bus which is a 5 minute walk away from the bus station. Big bonus is car parking. Have stayed in other places when we couldn’t get booked but not as good. Julie and Andy are all ways available and if you have a problem it is sorted straight away. Highly recommend Keswick Cottages.
Julie from Middlesbrough 3rd November 2018
Stayed here many times and property never disappoints. Bathroom facilities top class and high class large kitchen. Lovely spacious lounge to relax in the evening. Off road parking for 2 cars a bonus and garden for children to play in in safety
Lindsay from Redditch 17th February 2018
The standard of Bridge House is exceptional on all areas Position, Hygiene, Decor, Appliences. We have really enjoyed this well earned break.
Hanson from Bolton 23rd August 2017
We have been coming to Bridge House for the past 20 years, and we are never dissapointed it is so homely and comfortable. We are thrilled to see the house back to its former glory following the devastating floods of 2015!! Thanks to the Keswick Cottages team for all you do to make our stay here so special.
Anne & Phil Pickles from Preston 11th March 2017
We had a great week in Keswick and Bridge House was perfect! The children loved their holiday house and the garden. (Why is it that their very similar climbing frame at home isn't as appealing as the one on holiday?!) Our 3 yr old loved his "wing" of the house with his own bathroom! The kitchen was beautiful and the location was very convenient. As for Keswick Cottages- we have been very impressed and appreciated your customer service- the upgrade to Bridge House was very welcome and we thank you very much for that.
Carolyn F from Lincolnshire 16th February 2013
What a fabulous house, absolutely wonderful. Came to celebrate S's 50th and had the most excellent time. thanks for the prompt response re: the toilet issue; most appreciated. Had wonderful weather walking in snow was just fabulous. Great place, will visit again.
M Ogden from Halifax 11th January 2013
Our first stay at Bridge House. Excellent. Had a great New Year. Lovely house and will be back; that's a promise!
L Bays from South Shields 28th December 2012
A late booking proved to be the best New Year ever! Lovely weather, plenty of laughs, food to die for! Perfect!!!
Pat&Dave Macrae from Lancs 28th December 2011
“My brothers, together with their partners, and I holiday every year in the last week of November always in rental cottages. The usual pattern on arrival is that we have the "wow" moment as everything in the cottage is new and untested by us. As the days progress we have little moans about the things that are not quite right, and by the last day have a good list of mumbles and grumbles. Some are the usual "grumpy old geezer" things while others will have some credence - i.e. cleanliness, state of decor or equipment and the like. However, Bridge House had the "wow" factor on arrival and this was maintained throughout the week. We are a discerning bunch and if there had been things with which to find fault, we would. There were no faults to be found. The decor was great, the facilities and equipment were well thought out. The cottage is obviously well looked after by your staff who clearly take a pride in what they do - we had the opportunity to meet at least three of them during our stay, and they we delightful and helpful and a credit to Keswick Cottages. So the first time in 10 years not one mumble or grumble from the Brothers Grimm; thank you. We will be back in Keswick again and your company will be our first choice when looking for a cottage.”
Hughes Family from Hampshire 26th November 2011
The house has been beautifully designed is magnificently appointed and is ideally located for town. The kitchen in particular is extremely well fitted especially the table and chairs. We could not have wished for a more enjoyable base which complemented our many trips in and around the lakes. To top it all the weather was outstandingly good. All in all great visit. Thankyou very much.
The Lownsbrough Family from Dorset 24th September 2011
Loved the improvements on the kitchen and bathrooms. Once again an excellent holiday in excellent accommodation, we will be back.
Smith Party from Sheffield 10th August 2011
