Awarded a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence by its previous guests, Number Three The Townhouses offers guests a private Lakeland residence in the centre of Keswick for up to eight adults, in three double or king bedrooms and one twin bedroom. The sleeping accommodation is set over three floors, with one bedroom at ground floor level for those who prefer to avoid stairs. Unique to the Townhouses, Number Three retains its original period floor tiling in the kitchen and hallway, and its original log burning fireplace in the living area. Some of the period bedroom fireplaces feature in the bedrooms (decorative only). The kitchen is styled with a nod to the 1950s, featuring Eames DSW chairs based on the original by the American designers Charles and Ray Eames, and teamed with a walnut finish kitchen table. A fresh new bathroom and a further ground floor shower area are provided for convenience. A small private outdoor area with seating for 8 people provides a nice location for a pre-dinner drink. Lockable outdoor storage is provided, perfect for bicycles or other small outdoor equipment.

Fully refurbished and styled to a beautiful high standard, No. 3 The Townhouses offers you the option to stay together with friends or family in your very own private Lakeland residence. Built at the turn of the century in the vernacular slate architecture, the Townhouses are warm and welcoming yet stylish, light and spacious. The houses are tastefully stocked to make your stay in the Lake District a pleasure. Many period features are retained and sympathetically restored, including original floor tiles, fireplaces and ceiling coving. The four elegant bedrooms are spread over three floors, providing both space and comfort, including a kind size bed on the ground floor for those who prefer to avoid stairs.  A well-stocked kitchen teamed with walnut finish dining table and Eames DSW chairs makes a cosy location for breakfast or dinner.  Essentials such as new cutlery, utensils, cookware and appliances are paired with indulgent little extras such as a new espresso machine and a selection of complimentary espresso pods.  The stylish living area is on the first floor with a log burning stove to complement the new central heating enjoyed throughout.  A flat screen smart TV permits access to services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime  (please bring your subscription details to log in to these services) as well as a DVD player and normal TV channels. Cole and Lewis bathroom toiletries are offered in both the main bathroom and the ground floor shower room, together with fresh complementary towels. The twin bedroom is located on the 2nd floor with views over the northern mountains (it can be made up as super king on request at a supplement of £15).  High specification wifi is provided throughout for your convenience and connectivity to home. No 3 has its own private outdoor area, with seating for 8 people to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine at the end of the day.   The restaurants, wine bars, supermarkets and other diversions of Keswick are only a moment’s walk away yet the quietude of the fells can be experienced in under an hour’s walk or a few minutes’ drive.  Windows open onto views of Skiddaw and Latrigg to the north and to Catbells over the rooftops of Keswick to the south. Visitors to No.3 have the benefit of two complimentary parking permits to the adjacent long stay car park at Otley Road. An additional parking permit may be available at a supplement of £25 for a week or £15 for a shorter break, subject to availability. Please note, the Townhouses are not available for hen or stag events.

Our stay in the North Lakes was greatly enhanced by having such a lovely house to return to after long days hiking in the cold and wet. The bathrooms were spotless, the kitchen was well-equipped and the living room was very spacious and comfortable. Plus there are tons of good pubs and restaurants in Keswick. We would definitely stay here again.

The house is in a great location right in the centre of Keswick - and contains a wealth of information and ideas for things you can do in the local area. The beds are comfy too, and its a nicely decorated and cosy place to hang out in the evening after a long day's walking.

Three the Town Houses is a very well located accommodation. It is spotlessly clean and well presented. We have used this place a s a base for three couples exploring the northern lakes over long weekends on two occasions now and would recommend it very highly.

We visited Keswick for a long weekend with two other couples to do some walking in the fells. We were delighted with the accommodation, which was well appointed and centrally located. The place was spotless and well equipped. It was very easy dealing with the owners who were extremely helpful and prompt in their responses. Overall a great experience and we have booked again for next year.

We had a family weekend in Keswick, we visit Keswick 1-2 times a year since I can remember and it was our first time staying in a self catered cottage! We were extremely impressed by the warm, homily accommodation! It had everything we needed and more for a relaxing weekend! Help from Keswick Cottages in organising the weekend with emails and advice has been superb!
