53 Wordsworth Street is a beautifully-restored slate cottage, recently refurbished throughout to offer guests a modern but welcoming base from which to explore Keswick.

Downstairs boasts an impressive, open-plan lounge and dining room with a wall-mounted Smart TV and log burner, making it the perfect place to cosy up after a day of exploring the area, hiking up the fells, or to plan your next adventure.

Underfloor heating enhances the sense of warmth throughout the space.

The brand new, modern kitchen boasts appliances such as an induction hob, oven and microwave, as well as a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

To the rear of the property, there is an enclosed, paved area and a boot room, very handy for when you haven't managed to avoid those Lake District showers!

Also to the rear of the property there is a parking space for one car – a real bonus so close to the centre of Keswick. There is also plenty of on-street parking nearby.

Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms: a superking, and a versatile twin room which can be made up as a superking for a small fee.

The family bathroom upstairs includes WC, sink and a shower-over-bath. Upstairs is complimented by central heating for year-round comfort.

Lovely cottage, home from home
We had a wonderful week in Wordsworth cottage. The newly refurbished cottage has been done to a very high standard with all the comforts you could need for a great stay. Thank you Keswick cottages!

Stunning
One of the best cottages we have stayed in in Keswick. Immaculately clean and finished to a high standard. Close to starting walks, the park, shops and pubs. Lovely little welcome box for us and our dog and blankets, water and food bowl provided which is great. Beautiful cottage can't wait to come stay here again.

A modern well equipped cottage in an excellent location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wordsworth Cottage. It had been recently refurbished throughout with good quality fixtures and fittings and tasteful decoration in every room.The kitchen was very well equipped with every utensil that we could possibly need and the bed was extremely comfortable. One of the main assets was the private parking space at the back of the property. We parked the car for the week and went around on the bus to save on hunting for parking spaces and paying for car parks. The bus stops are not far from the property and the services were good.The cottage is located about 10 minutes walk from the town centre where we found lots of shops, restaurants and supermarkets for everything we could possible need. Just to mention a couple of things which aren't really complaints, just things that may help future guests. It took us a while to figure out how to lock the doors from the inside as we were not familiar with that type of device. Some simple instructions would have helped. Also we were not able to access any main stream TV channels live or any freeview channels. We could only find internet channels such as Iplayer, ITVX etc. If these are available some instructions would be useful. Fortunately we are not football fans or we would have been disappointed at missing the World Cup matches live.

EDIT: For all future guests, the television has now been upgraded and receives live/satellite channels! Your feedback is important to us, and we and the owners will always act on it where we can. Outstanding!! The pictures were gorgeous and drew us to book instantly but the house itself was even more beautiful than the photos and we were just in awe of the space. It was ideal being so central in Keswick with such a short walk into town. They provided for all we needed and even provided a little doggy goodie box with some treats, a toy and dog bags. Was such a thoughtful touch! Couldn’t recommend enough.

Superb cottage. Very dog-friendly, everything we could need and more! Car parking space a real bonus. We loved our week here, especially as temperatures hit 30 degrees+! We wouldn't hesitate to rebook. Thank you!
