Downstairs is the warm and welcoming living room with comfortable seating for six, a new wood burner, and Smart TV.
The spacious dining room has a table to seat six people and a DAB+ radio/Bluetooth speaker, as well as a selection of books, maps and games to enjoy. Wi-Fi is complimentary.
The modern kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery and cookware for self-catering. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. The utility room has a freezer, washing machine and separate dryer as well as ample space for coats and boots, and there is also a separate toilet with wash basin and heated towel rail.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and two brand new modern bath/shower rooms. The first bathroom features a roll top bath, a large walk in shower as well as toilet, sink and heated towel rail. The second bathroom also features a large walk in shower with wood effect panelling, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. Both bathrooms feature stylish light-up mirrors.
The main bedroom is at the back of the house with views over the rooftops towards Walla Crag and Catbells. It has a king-size bed and wall-mounted TV.
At the front of the house, there is a twin room with zip and link beds that can be made in to a super king (£15 charge), and another room with bunk beds and a large, walk-in wardrobe.
The front bedrooms have views towards Latrigg and the Skiddaw range. Each bedroom will be presented with luxury white bed linen and towels.
From the property, it is a 5 minute level walk to Fitz Park and a few minutes further to the centre of town.
The ‘Twa Dogs Inn’, serving food, is only 200 metres away, and there is a shop at the nearby petrol station which is open late and stocks all the essentials, including logs for the wood burner.
There is a large, lockable shed for storing bikes, which also houses a foosball table for rainy days, and some extra garden furniture.
The garden, with patio and picnic bench, is the perfect place to relax on sunny days. Please note that neighbours have a right of access through the gardens.
Guests will not need to worry about where to park, as the cottage has private parking on the driveway for 1-2 cars at the side of the house, with easy access through the kitchen entrance for unloading luggage. There is also space for one car in front of the house.
With so much to offer, Two Chimneys is the perfect cottage.
