Description

Arriving at this wonderful retreat, you will feel immediately at home in your accommodation. Only a couple of minutes from the bustling town centre, as soon as you step into this charming property for six, you'll find storage and hooks waiting for your coats and boots.

Entering the spacious open plan living room/dining space, you'll find a grand dining table, perfect to gather after an eventful day and enjoy some gorgeous food. Relax and make yourself comfortable on the three-seater sofa while enjoying the warming cosy log burner. For entertainment, there's a Smart TV so you can watch your favourite tv shows and films, or you can choose one of the games to play if you're feeling lucky.

The modern kitchen, with dishwasher, fridge, microwave, electric oven and hob and plenty of worktop space will make cooking and food preparation a delight. Through the kitchen, there is a utility room fitted with a washing machine and a downstairs toilet.

Upstairs, there are two spacious double bedrooms beautifully furnished with quality mattresses for a good night’s sleep and a twin bedroom that can be made up as super-king on request (please be aware there is a £15 charge for this service). The newly refurbished (2024) bathroom has a bath with lit shelf, free-standing shower, WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and mirror with light over. This beautiful room is the perfect place to enjoy some relaxation and soak your muscles after a busy day exploring the Lakes!

The property benefits from wonderful outdoor space. From the living room, there are patio doors opening out onto the new decking ideal for enjoying some sunshine over the warmer months.

There is unrestricted on-street parking to the front of the cottage.

Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Lovely central cottage
This is our second visit to this cottage. Very central for Keswick, only a 5 minute walk into the town centre. Lovely comfortable living room and bedrooms, although the twin room (or super king if you have requested) lacks a set of drawers (which could also be used as a dressing table), as there is only a wardrobe with one drawer and if you are staying a week there is not enough space. Lovely bathroom and nice kitchen. The only thing that lets the property down is a half finished garden, which looks a bit untidy. Artificial grass also is not the best idea, especially when it is a dog friendly house! Parking isn't great, but we only found it difficult over the weekend, during the week it's fine. We had one or two issues when we arrived, but Keswick Cottages dealt with them very quickly.

Thank you for your review of Red Robin, we hope you enjoyed your second stay at the property! Red Robin is a fantastic property if you want to be in close proximity to the heart of Keswick, with the main street being a short walk away. Thank you also for your useful feedback; we have passed this all on to the owner! We hope to welcome you back soon! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

Had a lovely short break in Red Robin House. Very central for everything. Christmas tree still up which was lovely. House very warm and cosy. Well equipped kitchen, handy to have utility for boots etc. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Will definitely be back if in this area.
