This home from home is well appointed and beautifully furnished throughout to ensure a comfortable stay.

The modern kitchen is extremely well-equipped and includes a full size fridge-freezer and washing machine. The living-dining space looks out towards Skiddaw and Latrigg and features a comfortable grey sofa and Smart TV with access to Sky TV and Netflix. The dining table for two is positioned by the window so you can admire the stunning fell views while you dine and enjoy a glass of wine after a day of adventures.

The bedroom has a double bed dressed in quality linen, dressing table and ample storage. The modern bathroom has a heated towel rail, WC, washbasin with cabinet, mirror and bath with shower over.

The owners provide some lovely little extras including soaps, shampoo and conditioner.

There is one allocated parking space in the private car park.

Lovely for a short break
Skiddaw view is a lovely one bed apartment in a prime location in Keswick with a parking space which is a great bonus. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the bed was so lovely and comfortable. There were a few very minor issues which I reported back to Keswick Cottages and they are being looked into. The apartment itself was ideal for a couple and the kitchen was well stocked if you wanted to cook. Some of the cups and plates are a bit chipped but this is just an observation it did not cause us any issues. The living room is a little crowded and may benefit from a smaller sofa and/or a smaller table or one that folds away. However the sofa itself was very comfortable and the table allowed fabulous views of Skiddaw. The bathroom was clean and the shower was good. The bath is a little small but as we only used the shower it did not bother us. The apartment is accessed via 2 flights of stairs so bear this in mind if you struggle with steps and it is also on a busy road but we did not find that the noise from the road was too bad and we knew its location before booking. As with all Keswick Cottages this apartment was a lovely base for our holiday and we would definitely recommend. The bed was so comfortable and definitely welcome after days exploring the amazing Lake District. The location is right in the middle of Keswick just a short walk to the pubs and shops and the parking space at the back of the property was ideal although it is fairly small so maybe not so good for a large car. We would happily stay here again.

Mid August Break
I stayed at Skiddaw View for 6 nights mid-August. All instructions for arrival were clear with photographs where necessary e.g. car parking, although the number identifier had fallen off (Keswick Cottages informed). The parking space in the communal car park to the rear of the apartments weirdly had a couple of metal poles either side of the top of the allocated parking space and it was tricky turning into and reversing out of the space without some micro-manoeuvring (and I only have Ford Focus). TIP - reverse in is much easier, but care if you have a big car. The apartment is first floor and was clean, comfortable sofa, really nice bed, plenty of storage space, great view when at the dining table and very well equipped for self catering which I like to do. The location being right by the centre of Keswick is equally convenient for eating out, shopping at Booths supermarket or there is a convenience store just by the communal car park. Buses run from the bus station by Booths which is also good for not having to drive. Heating wasn't necessary given the hot weather at the time I stopped, but the apartment faces north (GREAT view of Skiddaw as the apartment name implies) so was cooler, plus a fan was provided. The location on the main road through Keswick does make for a lot of traffic noise which I found could be intrusive at times as I'm a light sleeper.

Lovely apartment
We loved our stay at Skiddaw View. The location was perfect with everything on the doorstep. The apartment was very clean and had everything you could need. The bed and sofa were both very comfy. We will definitely be returning.

Perfect place to stay for a solo trip to the Lakes. No complaints. I personally enjoyed the busy road location as there was plenty of people watching to entertain me in the rainy weather! Would love to stay again when I’m back

Allocated parking was a bonus staff in the letting office were great especially the guy who helped with our WiFi problem.The apartment although small has everything you could need and very clean also you are only yards from the centre of everything we thoroughly enjoyed our stay the downloaded app answers everything you need to know it’s a great idea
