Gretaside is a perfect place to stay close to the centre of Keswick overlooking the park at the rear
This was our second stay at Gretaside and we love the convenience of the town centre location and the sound of the river from the bedroom window. Also a bonus to have private secure parking. It is a top floor apartment so 3 sets of stairs to get your luggage up could be a challenge for some. The apartment had a well set up small kitchen with everything we needed. The bed is on the hard side and we brought our own topper to soften it. Wardrobe space is limited especially as the hoover is stored in one, which is not ideal. The lounge area is comfortable and has a small dining table. Sofa can be used as a sofa bed if required. TV set up for streaming services. Bathroom shower works well once you get the temperature settings to your liking. Our only disappointed was with the cleanliness on this visit which was not to the standard of our first visit.

Great Riverside Stay
The process of booking, paying and checking in/out was all great. The main benefit for this apartment for us was the location and free parking space, plus it being very dog friendly. Keswick Town Centre just a couple of mins walk away, as well as Fitz Park for the dog. Loved the welcome packs for us and the dog! The apartment's facilities were fine, everything you need for a self catering stay although we didn't do much cooking in the apartment as the heatwave was still on. The apartment is very compact, wardrobes take the space of bedside tables, and only 2 sockets in the bedroom. It is also located at the top of more than 30 stairs with no lift, so probably not suitable for those with mobility problems, though we were fine. Some of the decor needs a bit of TLC - the area around the kitchen window was most noticeable. Also, some bric a brac was stored in the wardrobes and the divan drawer, so storage was a bit more limited than it needed to be. Electric shower was OK, but very low pressure. But the views - great view across Fitz Park and lovely to hear the river flowing as you lie in bed with the window open. TV was modern with apps, and great to have a nice settee to watch it from. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely look to book again.

What a great location!
The kitchen and bathroom are extremely well appointed, but shame about the kitchen window surround which needs some work. Small apartment but big enough for a couple (who need to be fit enough for the steps to the second floor!). The mattress was rather firm for my taste, but it was a delight to hear the river gurgling by outside the bedroom window with a lovely view over the park and Latrigg. Needs a little TLC and maybe a little more attention to nooks and crannies. Over all - a great place to stay with the town only minutes away.

Good bathroom, nice living room. Location very handy. Bed was comfortable. Place was cosy and heating easy to use. Outside the bedroom window a beautiful narrow river flowing past, a beautiful sound. Kitchen facilities were great. A number of other places had failed to provide a simple spatula to cook with but our facilities there were great for that, there was a spatula and lots of other stuff including a new pack of cleaning items. Also a welcome pack of assorted biscuits. The staff did not bother us about checking out, meaning they did not barge in before we had left which had happened at other places so the staff at greta side knew we were there and knew their job. The company are local which to me was a factor as they understand their clients and the area. An excellent place and wonderful stay so thank you for that.

Excellent location in Keswick, well maintained small property would be ideal for a couple to stay, pet friendly and good onsite parking included. The property was very clean and well presented. The rooms are small but adequate for our 3 night stay. Would recommend to anyone as long as they can manage two flights of stairs. Am looking forward to staying here again in the future.
