A pleasant cottage in Keswick - ideal for a base for hiking
I stayed here for a week in August with my children and grandchildren. The cottage is a short (but pleasant) walk from the centre of Keswick. The accommodation was as described in the advertising with decent-sized bedrooms and kitchen, a dining room with a table comfortably large enough to accommodate us all. Parking for two cars was available at the front/side. There was even a gym at the back and a small rear garden. Wi-fi and washing machine worked. We were very happy. The only downside was that we sometimes ran out of hot water after just one person had had a shower - which is a problem when there are six adults and five children. We learnt that there was a booster switch which fixed this but it took 24 hours to discover that.

Thank you for your review, Francis. We're delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay at Sunnycroft and found it to be a great base for exploring Keswick and the surrounding fells. It's wonderful to know that the space worked well for your group and that you were pleased with the facilities, parking and location. We are, however, very sorry about the inconvenience caused by the hot water during the first day of your stay. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Following your feedback, we have updated the guest guide to include clear information about the hot water booster switch so future guests can easily find it if needed. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as feedback like yours helps other guests choose the right property and helps us continue to improve. We hope to welcome you and your family back again in the future! Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

Lovely Period Property
We really enjoyed our stay in Keswick . Sunnycroft is an ideal holiday let for larger groups and families. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with a nice garden at the rear of the property to sit out in on summer evenings. Note the house is situated on a busy road junction and there is a significant amount of traffic noise at the front of the property especially when the windows are open. While there is plenty of parking at the side of the house , exiting the driveway can be a challenge during busy periods. There is no provision for outdoor cooking so adding a BBQ would be a nice addition.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review — we’re really pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at Sunnycroft. It’s lovely to know the house worked so well for your group, with plenty of space, comfort, and a well?equipped setup, and that you were able to make the most of the garden during the summer evenings. Thank you as well for your helpful comments. The property’s central location does mean there can be some road activity at busier times, and we appreciate you highlighting this for future guests. Similarly, your note about the driveway access is very useful context. We also appreciate your suggestion about a BBQ — that’s a great idea, and we’ll be sure to pass it on for consideration. We’re so glad you had an enjoyable stay overall and would be very happy to welcome you back again in the future. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages
