Sam's Cottage is a spacious and comfortable apartment. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and has everything you need for self-catering. Perfect location in the centre of Keswick.
A lovely well fitted bungalow well situated within easy reach of all facilities. But VERY NARROW concealed entrance ( with no warning ). Fittings good but in wheelchair I found the wash basin to small & low with no adjoining shelf for tooth brush etc. A map would help find property in very busy streets. Generally very good.
The flat is accessible for wheelchair users as advertised, clean and spacious and very handy for central Keswick. BUT The interior is probably designed for a wheelchair user with a carer - for example it is not possible to reach the shower controls from the shower. The alley into the yard is very narrow - OK for a small car but you won't get a van type WAV down there. Once you are in the yard it is very difficult to turn round, it's only possible if the neighbour's car isn't there. The equipment was strangely lacking in essentials, no teapot, cafetiere or breadknife! The oven is very slow. Recommendation is Yes but beware, especially the narrow access.
