A Comfy Stay
We had a comfy stay at Roslin. Clean and warm when we arrived, the house suited all our requirements. Comfy, if a little hard beds, but we slept well. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge comfy. The kitchen could use an extractor fan and better lighting, but these are minor points. Because of the weather we didn't use the back garden. The views of Skiddaw are great and the location, close to Keswick and entirely walkable is good.

Thank you so much for your review! We're so happy you had a comfy stay at Roslin. We are pleased you found it warm and clean upon arrival and that it suited all your requirements. We're glad you found the kitchen well equipped and that the lounge was comfortable. Thank you for your comments about the extractor fan and lighting in the kitchen, its really helpful to receive this feedback. The views of Skiddaw from Roslin are amazing and it isn't situated too far to enjoy a stroll into Keswick. We hope you had a wonderful stay and we hope to welcome you back again. Lovely last minute break
Recently returned from a last minute break staying at Roslin in Portinscale. Keswick cottage staff were amazing helping us find the ideal cottage for our needs. Roslin was warm, comfortable and clean. It has outstanding views of Skiddaw from the large rear windows. For us it had the added benefit of a large enclosed garden for our 2 dogs and parking for 2 cars. It's great for walks from the door. Have booked with Keswick cottages before and can guarantee accurate reviews and excellent service. Would definitely return and very happy to recommend Keswick cottages.

We are so glad you found Roslin, warm, clean and comfortable. We agree the views of Skiddaw are amazing! We bet your two dogs enjoyed playing in the enclosed garden, and enjoyed exploring all the walks you went on. Parking is a great bonus of the cottage! A Lakeland Gem
We stayed in Roslin from 21st December to the 28th December.Having stayed previously on holidays it was home from home. We were welcomed by a lovely bottle of Prosecco and biscuits. The cottage has been updated since our last visit. It has everything needed for a week or more holiday. The location is perfect for getting out and exploring the lakes. The village pub only a few minutes away is very welcoming and serves great food and drinks. The weather wasn’t the best but the cottage was warm and cosy with great views out onto Skoda. We would highly recommend a stay at this property.

Thank you so much for your 5-star review and recommendation! We love that you found it a home from home and are returning guests. We are so happy you enjoyed the Christmas gift of Prosecco and biscuits from us, it makes the Christmas holiday that bit more special. We are so pleased you found it to have everything you need and found the location perfect to explore the Lake District. We are so glad you found the cottage warm and cosy, especially after a cold day outside. We hope to welcome you back when you next return to the Lake District. Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

We’ve had a lovely stay at Roslin. Place was basic, but clean and very very warm. It’s one of those too hot or too cold houses. The double bed was super comfortable! I would like one at my house. We didn’t have good weather but the views were superb and in the summer the garden would be wonderful to relax in. The dog loved the garden and was safe and secure. Easy to walk into Keswick from the house, a good local pub and a lovely spot for breakfast down the lane called The Chalet. Lots of walks you could do from the front door. All in all, would definitely return.
Utterly loved our stay here, beautifull to look at the mountains every morning when you wake up. Perfect location for exploring keswick and Derwentwater. Felt right at home and was sad to leave when our stay ended.
We wish to come back there, beautiful place.
