Reviews

Comfortable house in a peaceful village location near Keswick, with a great view of Skiddaw
With a striking view from the main living room, Roslin didn't disappoint. The accommodation was clean, comfy and quite spacious. The weather was mixed the week we stayed but the house was warm and quite well equipped, with the smart TV particularly welcome. The location is close enough to Keswick - just a few minutes by car - but quiet and restful after the bustle of the town in summer. Would agree with comments in previous reviews and may well return.
Portinscale Week
I stopped at Roslin for a week with my father who isn't up to high level walking these days but there is plenty to do in the Keswick area that doesn't involve mountains. The cottage is placed in a quiet location and parking space is excellent too. Roslin was clean, comfy and well equipped. The tap hot water pressure upstairs isn't great and if you like baths you'd be there a while but the shower was just fine. Portinscale doesn't have a shop but Keswick is only a 20ish minute walk from Portinscale if you're not feeling like driving, but easy to get to in the car for bits and pieces of shopping too. Plenty of places to choose for eating out, and I always recommend Nichol End Marine for the massive scones that are a meal in themselves. Keswick Cottages were great for communication, easy to get hold of, and very reactive for resolving a minor problem we had.

Thank you so much for your review of Roslin! We are so happy you found it comfortable, clean and well equipped. Thank you so much for your kind comments about our customer service. We hope you and your father had a wonderful time and we hope to welcome you back again soon! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

Great location with fantastic views
We had a wonderful stay In Roslin and were completely awestruck by the view towards Skiddaw as soon as we walked in. The cottage looks very modest from the outside, but don't be deceived - it is spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The garden is a bonus and was well-kept. It was wonderful to be able to sit out there and enjoy the fabulous view. The location is handy for Keswick with the benefit of having a car-parking space. We would love to return to stay in Roslin and definitely recommend it.

Nice place tucked away in nature yet close to the main road.
Incredible locations and views!
A second visit to Roslin. Its location was ideal for us. Set in Portinscale in a quiet cul de sac with amazing views towards Skiddaw. Parking directly outside. A small front garden and a large rear garden. A side porch for storing boots or bikes which also houses a washing machine. The house was spotlessly clean and freshly painted. The house has central heating and a large kitchen diner fully equipped. The lounge is comfortable. The master bedroom is massive and the second bedroom had 2 single beds. Bathroom with bath and separate shower. Walks from the house into Keswick takes 20 minutes or 5 minutes in the car. If your looking for clean comfortable accommodation in a peaceful location with amazing views then Roslin is the place to go.
