A Keswick gem
We try to visit Keswick every year and Quaver Cottage is our favourite stay and always book through Keswick Cottages. We have had no issues over the last 8 years or so. No hesitation in recommending the above.

Hello again, Hazel! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay-- again. We love Quaver Cottage, and we can't wait to welcome you back again soon. Our personal highlights are the views of the river Greta and Portinscale, and the proximity to Booths is so convenient. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Fabulous cottage and location
We had a wonderful stay at Quaver Cottage, which is a fantastically comfortable home from home. The living room is very comfy, the kitchen is fabulously stocked with good quality utensils, the bathroom is spotless with an excellent shower and the master bedroom was incredibly comfortable. We slept marvellously well. Also, we thoroughly enjoyed filling the bird feeder in the tree with the seed in the container by the sink and watching the finches, sparrows and some very greedy pheasants; adorable. And Booths is on the doorstep; what more could you ask for? This was our second stay at Quaver Cottage and we will definitely be returning after another fantastically restful break. Thanks to the entire Keswick Cottages' team.

October Break
The property is so central, very clean and private parking a real bonus. We have stayed in many holiday properties throughout the UK and this is the first one which didn't have the minimum fresh milk in the fridge and a spare toilet roll!! Sachets in a box not really appreciated. Apart from.the excellent bus services we found Keswick and surrounds ridiculously expensive. Yes, it's a holuday destination with a captive audience which I do understand as I'm from Cornwall but it should be flagged as a concern going forward. We did have a very enjoyable holiday. Thank you.

Hi Sarah, Thank you for your review. Any provisions we provide in the property are there to make your arrival easier in case you haven't had time to pop to the shop yet. As with all popular holiday destinations, prices are on the high side. Keswick's are on the more reasonable end of the spectrum when compared with Windemere or Bowness. The bus service from Keswick is excellent and buses will take you all over the Lake District meaning that you can take advantage of the private parking and not move your car again for the duration of your stay. We're thrilled that you had an enjoyable holiday and hope that we can welcome you back in the future. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

A fabulous cottage in a wonderful location, just a couple of minutes from the centre but really quiet despite that. I felt at home immediately and it was really cosy and clean.
We have just returned from Quaver Cottage after a lovely week in Keswick - booked through Keswick Cottages. The cottage is in a great location, just behind Booths & easy walking to the town center - although close to all the amenities it it very peaceful. The cottage itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely lounge area with dining table & 2 x Sofas, TV & Freeview & patio doors to a shared garden at the rear. The kitchen had all the usual appliances, including a welcome 'cleaning box' with washing up liquid etc. Upstairs the master bedroom was large with a comfy bed, nice, clean bathroom & then a second bedroom (2 singles) which we didn't need to use. Location wise, you cannot ask for more if you intend to make the most of Keswick. Perfect base for setting off for walks & exploring .. and then close enough to everything to get home, freshened up & out for food & drink round Keswick. Booking, communications & overall guidance from Keswick cottages was perfect .. majority via email with clear instructions & updates of the booking. Would highly recommend the cottage & Keswick Cottages.
