Perfect cottage great location
Had a lovely stay with fab views over the fells. Cozy fire and living room. Will definitely becoming back. Thanks again for a great stay

Hi, Peter! Thank you so much for your lovely review — it really brightened our day. We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay at Glenderamackin. Those fell views are something special, and it’s wonderful to hear they made your visit even better. We’re also so glad the cosy fire and comfy living room hit the mark. There’s nothing quite like settling in after a day out in the Lakes, and it sounds like you made the very best of it. Hearing that you’ll be coming back is the biggest compliment we could ask for. We’d be absolutely thrilled to welcome you again for another great stay. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

A great weekend away.
The cottage we stayed in was very nice and loads of space . An ideal location for trail running and long dog walks Threlkeld and keswick were not far away. Loved the doggy treats that were left out. Our only complaint would be that the tv in the lounge had no freeview channels . Had to mirror with my phone. The log burner was lovely and comforting. The ash tray was not emptied by the last guest . Also the welcome package in the kitchen. All the biscuits were well out of date . Otherwise everything else was perfect. And would stay there again .

Hi, Ian! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re really pleased to hear you enjoyed the space, the location, and all the little touches—especially the dog treats and the log burner. It’s great to know the cottage worked so well for trail running and long walks with your dog, and that you’d be happy to return. We’ve passed your constructive feedback to the owner. The points about the TV, the ash tray, and the out?of?date biscuits are all really helpful, and we appreciate you highlighting them so they can be addressed promptly. We’re delighted that everything else was perfect for your stay, and we’d love to welcome you back again. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Relaxing break
Lovely cottage and location . We ended up staying an extra night as no one was booked in . Only minor fault was stuff in the welcome pack and cupboards was out well of date so we never got to use the coffee machine . Certainly didn't spoil our holiday .

Hi Katharine, Thank you for your review. My apologies that the welcome pack was out of date. This will be passed on to the housekeeping manager so that more training can be given to the housekeeping team. We are a small, local team here at Keswick Cottages and we are always contactable if there are any issues so please never hesitate to get in touch and we can drop in with fresh supplies for you. Glenderamackin Cottage is in a fantastic location with amazing views of Blencathra. There are lots of great walks you can do from the doorstep including the walk in to Keswick along the old railway path. We hope you had a fantastic holiday. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

Originally a slate miners cottage, now converted for 21st century living with all that one needs for a great holiday whatever the season. Located next to the dismantled railway, Keswick is a 5km walk away or a short car drive. Threlkeld sits at the foot of magnificent Blencathra, views of which fill the front lounge and bedroom windows. The decor and furnishings are simple and practical, ideal for those who are serious fell walkers who appreciate a ‘no frills’ approach. Lovely Lakeland photographs adorn all the walls lending inspiration to one’s next mountain challenge. A workmanlike kitchen for those self-catering, but the pubs in the area serve tasty, hearty food to replenish those depleted calories at the end of a days hiking. Toasty, warm central heating even when below zero outside, or log burners if you prefer. Super comfortable beds to rest those weary limbs at night. Highly recommend…
We had a great stay at the Keswick cottages in the Lake district with our family of 4. We stayed for 4 days and place had plenty of space for us and we felt right at home. I would highly recommend this place, and would stay here again in the future.
We absolutely loved staying here, such a beautiful cottage in a great location.
