As you enter the cottage via steps at the back, you will find the useful utility space with washing machine, a handy bench for taking off your boots, and hooks for your walking gear.
Head further through the cottage, and you'll find the fabulous kitchen-diner with plenty of space to cook, dine and socialise with family and friends. The kitchen is fully-equipped with dishwasher, stove, butlers sink, microwave, and plenty of cupboard/worktop space. There are double doors leading into the inviting living area so you can have this space open plan, or closed for cosier evenings in front of the log burner. Here you will find two plush sofas to curl up on while you enjoy a good book or watch your favourite film on the Smart TV.
Moving upstairs, there are two beautifully styled bedrooms, each with quality furniture, mattresses and luxury bed linen for extra comfort. The master bedroom is at the back of the cottage and has a double bed, the twin bedroom to the front of the property can be made up as super-king size on request (£15 charge applies).
There is also a peaceful reading room where you can enjoy some R & R.
The impressive shower room has a walk-in shower and a bespoke sink which is a real focal point of the room.
To the rear of the cottage there is a lovely decked patio area with bench seating ideal for sitting out and enjoying warmer days with a glass of wine.
Visitors will not need to worry about where to leave the car as there is private allocated car parking.
The cottage is next door to Tawny Cottage, which may prove ideal for two families wishing to holiday together.
Portinscale is a beautiful, bustling village, looking out across the shimmering waters of Derwentwater.
From Portinscale, you can explore the surrounding fells and woodlands. For novice ramblers, Catbells is a great starter fell, and offers stunning views of Derwentwater & Keswick.
If you’re looking to venture out into the Lake District without a car, Portinscale is serviced by the X4 and X5 bus services, running all the way from Workington to Penrith, linking Portinscale to local train stations.
