Overview

Cragside Cottage is part of a former traditional Lakeland hill farm (Greenah Crag), nestling in the lee of a rocky outcrop from which it takes its name. Overlooked by the peaks of Helvellyn, Skiddaw and Blencathra and in close proximity to gentler but equally beautiful lakesides, walking and climbing are available on the doorstep. Whatever your interest; cycling, sailing, wildlife, natural history or just simply relaxing, the area around Cragside is crammed with activities for all the family.

Lovely and comfortable
Lovely place, comfortable beds. A little remote for our liking but it was peaceful. Upstairs shower tends to flood so needs looking at. No washing machine which could be a problem if staying longer than a weekend. We didn’t order towels but they were on the beds which was a bonus

Thank you so much for your review. We hope you had a wonderful stay! Thank you for your feedback about the shower we will have a look at that We hope to welcome you back again! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

Excellent accommodation in a great location
Very spacious living accommodation, close to Keswick and many walking/swimming/kayaking spots. The pub in Troutbeck was lovely for an evening meal (good vegetarian choices) and within walking distance. The house has been tastefully decorated and provides a good, comfortable base.

Thank you so much for your review about Cragside Cottage! We are so happy that you found the cottage decorated tastefully and situated perfectly to enjoy lots of activities! We hope you had a lovely time and we hope to welcome you back when you next visit! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

A great stay
We enjoyed staying in this lovely cottage. It is located on a farm, in a courtyard. Surrounded by fields. Easy access to the A66, close to both Keswick and Penrith. The cottage is lovely, very clean, with all basics provided. The dining and living area are nice. The shower and bathrooms are new and nice. There is a small garden, but it is shared with the other cottages and there is no outdoor seating.

A home from home. It didn’t feel like a holiday it felt like being at home only with a much better view.
Cragside cottage was beautifully presented. Clean and tidy with thoughtful little extras. Our baby granddaughter particularly enjoyed the sheep grazing on the hillside rear garden.
We stayed here for some together working for a remote team. The communal space was perfect for this, allowing enough space to work together and break into groups. Bedrooms were very comfortable and the entire place very clean and homely. Great location for local walks and getting some fresh air! Loved our stay, thank you!
