Description

Maiden Moor is a real ‘home from home’ with full central heating, double-glazing, and two allocated car parking spaces adjacent to the entrance, ideal for those travelling separately.

The modern kitchen is fully fitted and very well equipped with everything you would need for a perfect self-catering holiday; integrated gas hob, electric oven, fridge with ice box, microwave, dishwasher, radio and breakfast table. The washer/dryer can be found in the cupboard off the hall.

The lounge is spacious, light and comfortable with a two seater electric reclining settee and two chairs, along with an extendable dining table & 4 chairs, large smart TV, DVD player, LED Living flame wall fire, along with fell views to enjoy!

There are 2 very comfortable bedrooms; the first with a king size bed and quality tempur mattress offering the highest comfort, plenty of storage space with two large wardrobes , and two bedside tables. There is an ensuite off this room with shower,WC and wash hand basin.

Across the hall you will find the second bedroom with a double bed, bedside table and fitted wardrobes.Both bedrooms are dressed with luxury linen and towels.

The fully tiled shower room comprises a walk-in shower, WC and hand basin. Cole and Lewis bathroom toiletries are offered in the shower rooms.

The apartment is conveniently situated a stones throw from Booth’s supermarket (which has an electric car charging point) and the E-Venture shop for easy bike hire.

Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Lovely cottage. Beautifully furnished. Very comfortable. In the centre of town with parking. This was our second stay here and it did not disappoint.

Perfect location in Keswick
What a gem of a cottage! Fantastic location in the heart of Keswick with two (yes two!!) allocated parking spaces, a real bonus as we were two couples travelling from opposite ends of the country. We had a great stay two-night stay at Maiden Moor, with everything you could need on hand, though I would add that I think its cheeky to charge separately for towels in a holiday cottage when really they should be provided as standard (we actually took our own as travelling by car after feeling gruff at the additional fee! ;) ) and then low and behold there were towels laid out for us, so a bit of confusion there! Cottage was warm, comfortable and cosy, a great place to head back to after a November Cumbrian day, plentiful hot water. The only thing I would say is perhaps the saucepans/oven trays need to be looked at and replaced - saucepan surfaces worn rather badly and trays could do with a deep clean/good scrub! Would happily stay at Maiden Moor again in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others :)

To clarify regarding towels, we do provide towels as standard, though there is an option to add more towels for an additional fee, which is what you will have read in the guide. A member of our team reviews every property prior to check-in, and we appreciate that there's nothing like arriving to a warm home after a long day travelling, especially in this weather! Wonderful stay at Maiden Moor
Maiden Moor is a lovely 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Keswick. The location is right opposite Booths, really convenient for provisions, and ideal for walking into Keswick, or up any of the local fells. Its very well equipped, great Wi-Fi, all the bits you'd hope for in the kitchen, and lovely and warm showers, comfortable and cosy, ideal for relaxing after a days hiking. The communication before and during our stay was exceptional, all questions covered, lots of suggestions on local activities. I know from previous stays with Keswick Cottages their customer service is first class too, based locally to respond to any issues quickly. I think out of all our stays with Keswick Cottages over the years Maiden Moor is probably my favorite. Very highly recommended.

We stayed days at Maiden Moor in Keswick. It’s located 2 blocks from town shops and restaurants and just down the street from Booth’s, a large, well stocked grocery shop. The apartment is newly renovated and has every convenience. 2 nice bedrooms and 2 full baths with showers. It’s on a quiet street, but close to activity. We had absolutely no issues. Keswick is the ideal place to base your Lake District holiday. Large enough to have many choices, but not crawling with tourists like Windermere and Ambleside. We feel very lucky to have found Maiden Moor and would definitely stay again!

Good quality fixtures and fittings, attractive decor, well equipped kitchen, well heated throughout but with heating controls, The extra features such as flasks, welcome packs, kitchen foil and cling film etc, all helped make our stay enjoyable. Parking outside another bonus. Can't think of anything negative to say.
