Maiden Moor is a real ‘home from home’ with full central heating, double-glazing, and two allocated car parking spaces adjacent to the entrance, ideal for those travelling separately.

The modern kitchen is fully-fitted and very well equipped with everything you would need for a perfect self-catering holiday: integrated gas hob, electric oven, fridge with ice box, microwave, dishwasher, radio and breakfast table.

The washer-dryer can be found in the cupboard off the hall.

The lounge is spacious, light, and comfortable with a two-seater electric reclining settee and two chairs, along with an extendable dining table and four chairs, large Smart TV, DVD player, LED living flame wall fire, as well as the stunning fell views!

There are two very comfortable bedrooms: the first with a king size bed and quality tempur mattress offering the highest comfort, plenty of storage space with two large wardrobes , and two bedside tables. There is an en-suite off this room with shower, WC and hand wash basin.

Across the hall, you'll find the second bedroom with a double bed, bedside table and fitted wardrobes. Both bedrooms are dressed with luxury linen and towels.

The fully-tiled shower room comprises a walk-in shower, WC and hand basin. Cole and Lewis bathroom toiletries are offered in the shower rooms.

Ten stars, if we could!
We stayed here to shoot a film in the area, and even shot some of the film inside the apartment. I cannot think of a more convenient location to stay! You are literally seconds from Booths, CoOp, and the bus station, and minutes from the centre of town. Still, the area that this property is in is incredibly quiet and peaceful (which was ideal for us!). The kitchen was well-equipped, and all inventory well-maintained. The washer-dryer was very useful, and each room was very spacious and comfortable. The beds and mattresses were to die for. It even has two parking spaces! We heard that this property has a lot of returning guests/regulars, and it's so easy to see why. There's not a single thing you could fault. Communication with Keswick Cottages was easy, and each member of their small team was always more than happy to help, and you didn't feel rushed to get off the phone. It seemed like they genuinely enjoy getting to know their guests and take the time to add a personal touch to each of their interactions — they actually remember you when you call back, too! KC is a family business, and it really does show. We've booked with other cottage companies in the past, and the difference is staggering: to them, you're a number, and here, you're viewed as an individual. After booking with Keswick Cottages, I'd never book with anyone else. Thank you to the whole team!

Great location, central but quiet, smart accommodation
This is at least the 3rd time we've been to Maiden Moor - we love that it's so close to central Keswick, including the Booths supermarket and buses to/from other parts of the Lake District, yet it's always very quiet (even during the beer festival on the rugby ground opposite). The accommodation is quite small for a two bed apartment but very smart and has everything we need. It's disappointing that they still haven't connected the shaver socket in the ensuite bathroom or put heating into the towel rail in the other bathroom (we keep mentioning this but I think they just want to leave them disconnected), but these are minor annoyances. Also the kitchen cupboards weren't cleaned properly when we arrived, so we had to do that before unloading all the food we'd brought.

We stayed days at Maiden Moor in Keswick. It’s located 2 blocks from town shops and restaurants and just down the street from Booth’s, a large, well stocked grocery shop. The apartment is newly renovated and has every convenience. 2 nice bedrooms and 2 full baths with showers. It’s on a quiet street, but close to activity. We had absolutely no issues. Keswick is the ideal place to base your Lake District holiday. Large enough to have many choices, but not crawling with tourists like Windermere and Ambleside. We feel very lucky to have found Maiden Moor and would definitely stay again!

Good quality fixtures and fittings, attractive decor, well equipped kitchen, well heated throughout but with heating controls, The extra features such as flasks, welcome packs, kitchen foil and cling film etc, all helped make our stay enjoyable. Parking outside another bonus. Can't think of anything negative to say.
