Jasmine cottage a charming cottage sleeping two. This cottage is perfect for those looking for a traditional cottage in a small village setting within a few minutes stroll of the lake and only 20 minute walk to Keswick centre. The property has a traditional and welcoming feel with original beams and a cast iron, log burning stove for snug evenings in. The double fronted, end terrace cottage is situated in the centre of the village of Portinscale, just next to the village tearoom and just minutes from the local village pub and marinas. On the ground floor you enter the property through the porch which offers space to hang jackets. The cosy beamed lounge has an Inglenook fireplace housing a wood burning stove, flat screen, smart  TV., CD. docking station, wifi and dining area. The kitchen is a modern galley style, well equipped with electric oven and electric hob, fridge, microwave and dishwaser. Also on the ground floor there is a pretty sunroom, perfect to spend some time relaxing and enjoy a book or a glass of wine! On the first floor there is a superb double bedroom with TV, DVD player, exposed cruick beam and ornamental cast iron fireplace with views to Walla Cragg and Ashness Fell. The newly fitted bathroom has a shower over the bath, complete with vanity unit, hand basin and WC. A new utility area/boot room with a washer/dryer, plenty coat hooks & a secure storage area for bikes etc.

Having stayed with Keswick Cottages for many years we've come to expect an exceedingly high standard and we were not disappointed this year with Jasmine cottage, it has everything you could possibly need regardless of weather or temperature. We intend to return for many years (hopefully) May and December already booked!
S. Ivey from Crawley Down 23rd February 2019
This was the second time we’ve stopped in Jasmine Cottage we like it so much. At breakfast we sit in the back room enjoying the light in this room and weather permitting the sight of Catbells. In the evening we sit in the front room with the stove lit, leaving the stair door open so the heat goes up to the bedroom as well (The cottage has central heating but the thermostat is in the living room and using the stove turns the heating off). The bedroom is very spacious the beam gives it great character. Mind you head going into the bathroom. The local does very nice meals but check when they are open. We tend to walk to Keswick across the fields, a loose surfaced footpath, to Booths and the bus station. We had no problem parking in Keswick, when we did take the car, but that could be because it was November. Walking / hiking from Jasmin is great. Easy access to Catbells and not worth taking the car for many of the other Wainwright ‘s. One day we walked to the bus station and took a bus and did a gentle walk back.
David M from West Yorkshire 12th November 2018
Wonderful location for good walking. The cottage is clean and comfortable with everything you need. Utility room and outside space for sitting in the sun is very welcome. Will be back - again!
Sheena Smith 16th June 2018

Excellent cottage. Very comfortable, with everything you could need for a lovely holiday in a lovely quiet village. Excellent pub down the road and lovely cafe next door. Can't wait to visit again.
Mr English from Tyne and Wear 11th June 2016

James & Fiona Fawcett from Bedale 1st May 2016
On entering this lovely cottage we knew we were going to be able to relax and have an enjoyable week there was everything there you could possibly want except towels ,good job it was market day in Keswick ,we had,nt read the info properly even the weather was kind to us so all in all it is a little gem.
Helen&John Ingram from Scunthorpe 8th September 2015
A beautiful little cottage- just perfect for myself and Cassie my dog. A great relaxing week away from it all. Felt at home as soon as I arrived. Very cosy, comfortable and clean. Extremely well equipped. Will definitely be 1st on the list for my next visit. P.S. WiFi was very useful as no signal for mobile phone!
Maureen from Rugby 29th August 2015
A lovely clean, cosy and tastefully furnished and equipped cottage. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Thank you.
Mrs Sunderland from W.Yorkshire 13th September 2014
We have been with keswick cottages for quite a few years and they are always most helpful and sort out any problems immediately, not that there have been many! Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are really friendly. We stayed at Jasmine cottage in portinscale which was very comfortable and cosy. The sun lounge was a real bonus especially in october! The only downside was no wifi and as I'm a bit of an adddict for browsing the net this was a challenge! Overall a lovely place to stay.
Stephanie Ivey from West Sussex 26th October 2014
Fourth visit to Jasmine and we consider it home from home. Everything we need as walkers (no driving all week) with boot room for a wet dog a bonus. Great pub round the corner with free wifi so that's sorted too! Will be returning again. Staff at Keswick Cottages always very helpful so much so we stayed extra night at cottage.
Karen & Si from Denmead hampshire 8th November 2014
We were thrilled with the cottage. walking in, it just felt like home. We would stay permanently if we could.
Mrs Pepper from Suffolk 27th September 2014
Another wonderful holiday in this lovely cottage. It has everything we need - equipped to the highest standard and in an ideal location. That such a beautifully maintained property accepts our dog is such a bonus. Thank you.
Ann and Bryan from Durham 23rd August 2014
Our second stay with Keswick Cottages and no doubt there will be a third. The level of service and attention to detail is second to none. Communications are courteous and timely and the team are so friendly and knowledgeable. In our experience nothing is a problem for them - a missing ironing board was sorted out within 2 hours even though I'd said it would be a couple of days before I would need to use it! The cottage we stayed at was excellent, exactly as described and spotlessly clean and welcoming on our arrival. We can't recommend Keswick Cottages highly enough.
Ann and Bryan from Durham 23rd September 2014
Jasmine Cottage is a beautifully presented cottage in a great location. It had everything we needed for a perfect holiday. The seating and bed were comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped. We will definitely stay here again.
Ann and Bryan from Durham 24th August 2013
Words can’t do it justice. A lovely cottage and a great holiday. Thank you!
