Byways is a traditional Lakeland end of terrace set in a quiet area within a 5 minute walk to the centre of Keswick. There is a very welcoming feel to this property and with the flexibility of Friday or Monday arrivals offers an ideal base even if only for a short break. The enclosed landscaped patio area with established shrubs and foliage to the side offer a great place to sit or dine and catches the sun for most of the day.

Description

As you enter the cottage, you walk directly into the spacious, open-plan lounge and dining area with wooden floors, a dining table with four chairs, two leather sofas and the lovely gas-burning stove which makes for a great feature in the lounge.

The modern kitchen is very well equipped for the perfect self-catering holiday with oven & hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer, fridge-freezer and microwave.

Upstairs, there are two pretty bedrooms.

To the front of the cottage is the master bedroom with king-size bed, and at the back of the cottage is the twin bedroom. Both rooms are well furnished and include luxury linen and towels.

The modern bathroom has a bath with shower over, hand basin and WC.

There is an enclosed patio with seating which makes a lovely place to relax on sunny days.

Unrestricted parking is on street directly in front of the cottage.

Very satisfied customer
We stay in Keswick at least once if not twice a year and always use Keswick Cottages as we know the quality of their properties and services. We had not stayed in Byways before but were not disappointed. Everywhere was clean on our arrival. It was centrally placed and only a few minutes walk to the town centre. The greeting and cleaning packs were appreciated as always and especially the doggy one! Loved the new initiative of leaving any unused food for a local charity. The only thing I would mention is that it would be great to have two bath sheets per bedroom as only one is provided along with a hand towel and a small bath towel which would be fine for small children but doesn't wrap round an adult very well. On saying that the towels are lovely and soft and the beds are comfy. Would highly recommend

Great Stay at Byways
This was our first holiday where we needed a pet-friendly property (for our daughter's dog!) and Byways was great. The small enclosed patio area was ideal for 'you know what' and the property is very well equipped. Although there is no dedicated parking space, we managed to park directly outside the property, and there was plenty of additional on-street parking in the vicinity. Also, the residential area was very quiet, yet only a few minutes stroll into the centre of Keswick for the many pubs and cafes. We would definitely recommend Byways and will be back in the future.

Excellent for dogs and their families.
Definitely recommend to dog owners as the house has been furnished with dogs in mind. The dog gift box was a nice touch. The house is located in a quiet area of Keswick and a short walk into the centre or the local park. There's a brilliant artisan baker just around the corner. We needed to use a stroller/pram for an elderly dog and was able to hire one from Podgy Paws pet shop. The only minor issue was the mattresses felt like they needed replacing but could be that we're not used to very soft mattresses.

Byways has been our favourite place to stay in Keswick for many years. Clean, cosy, comfortable, ideally equipped and closed to the town centre.

We’ve stayed in Byways 10+ times and it’s always brilliant. Very clean and well maintained, and this time had had a bit of a spruce up since we last visited in November. The bedrooms had been swapped over and a nice big king double had been added to the double room, very comfy and cosy. The downstairs had also had a lick of paint and was looking fresh. The only thing missing was the footstools which used to be in the lounge… they were very handy for resting aching legs after a day in the fells! As usual we had a great weeks stay in Byways and we’ll be back again later this year or in spring next year. Thanks :-)
