Description

Step inside this romantic retreat for two!.

This welcoming Lake District cottage is accessed via the large doorway from the patio area, which leads into the spacious open-plan kitchen and dining room. This light and airy room makes the perfect space to cook and dine with delightful views looking toward the fells and Borrowdale Valley. The kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer shelf, dishwasher, microwave, and plenty of cookware. There is a useful utility room which houses the washer-dryer.

The lovely bedroom has a superking bed (can be made up as twin on request) with luxury crisp white bed linen, plenty of storage space, and views to the nearby woods and fields.

The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, ideal for relaxing tired muscles after a day out exploring, a recessed washbasin and a handy heated towel rail.

The lounge has comfortable seating, wall-mounted smart TV, and double aspect windows.

There are two patio areas, both with seating. On warmer days, these are the ideal spots to gaze at the surroundings and soak up the beauty of this isolated setting while enjoying a moment of calm with a good book or a glass of wine.

Across the drive, the adjacent owner's house and garden are a delight to look out upon, and wildlife, including deer and red squirrels, can often be seen. The cottage adjoins Great Wood, a National Nature Reserve managed by the National Trust and part of England’s largest temperate rain forest.

The cottage makes the ideal base for both nature and adventure seekers, as well as those who like the convenience of town amenities nearby. There is an abundance of choice when it comes to walking routes from the doorstep including Derwentwater lakeside and the fells, or why not bring your bike with you to see even more of this beautiful area with pedal power. There is designated lockable storage for bikes and equipment.

Keswick offers plenty of activities and amenities for your stay. Whether you’re looking for adventure activities, retail therapy, or new and exciting things to do, there’s something to keep everyone entertained.

Need to stock up on groceries for your self-catering Keswick holiday? Booths and Co-Op are Keswick’s two main supermarkets, with produce also available on the Keswick Markets.

Lovely stay in cosy cottage
Perfect location. Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need. Hardly needed to move my car. Perfect walking distance to the lake, Keswick and mountains.

Quiet and Peacful
Deer Close Cottage is a quiet and peaceful hideaway which has a nice steady off road walk into Keswick. It has many walks from the doorstep and plenty of birds and wildlife to spot.

Hi, David! Deer Close is such a hidden gem, right? Tucked away from all the noise, this is the perfect place to retreat to after a long day. We can't think of anything better to wake up to than the sight of deer and other wildlife out of the windows. We hope you decide to come back again soon! We're waiting for the call. Relaxing Week
We had a relaxing week in this charming, peaceful property. Even though the weather was snowy and bitterly cold we were cosy and slept very well in the very comfortable bed. Lovely walks along the lake from the door. Close to Keswick yet rural, with splendid views from the kitchen/dining area and lounge.

This is the perfect cottage for couples. It is very well appointed and the perfect location. Amazing outlook to the surrounding fells, close to Derwentwater and a lovely walk into Keswick. Saw deer in the forest behind the cottage and in the field at dusk. Many different birds at the feeders (take some seed with you), pheasants in the garden, as well as grey and red squirrels.
Beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting.
Perfect in every way.
