Description

The home has been fully refurbished to an exceptional standard, and although facilities are brand new, the cottage is packed with 1970s themed décor, accessories and furnishings.

The bespoke kitchen dining room, with fabulous Catbells feature wall, is the perfect place to gather with family/friends and recount the days adventures while you cook and dine. The kitchen comes complete with spacious round dining table, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, hob, microwave, and plenty of cupboard/counter space. There is a Dolce Gusto coffee machine with some complimentary pods for a coffee on arrival.

The lovely sun room, with underfloor heating, overlooks the patio and there is a ground floor WC off this room.

The living room has two vibrant sofas, electric feature fire and smart TV. The shelving unit houses a selection of books to choose from while you enjoy some relaxation time.

Moving upstairs, to the back of the cottage is the sunny yellow twin bedroom with window seat and brand new ensuite shower room. The master bedroom is at the front of the cottage and comes complete with king-size bed, window bench, plenty of storage and a smart TV. Both bedrooms will be made up with luxury white bed linen and fresh towels for your arrival.

The second shower room is between the two bedrooms.

Head up the stairs to the second floor and younger visitors will love the little hideaway that awaits, complete with seating, beanbags, and TV.

Many central properties lack parking and outdoor space, but Blue Sky Cottage marries both these valuable facilities with the convenient central location only a stones throw from the vibrant independent shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. To the rear of the cottage is a pretty enclosed patio area, a sun-trap for most of the day, with seating so you can enjoy a peaceful breakfast on sunny morning or a glass of wine after a day of exploring.

Guests can enjoy complimentary WiFi.

Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.
Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

What's not to like!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Sky cottage. It has been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard with all that is needed for a relaxing stay in the Lakes, even down to all the maps you could ever need. We also enjoyed the outside space which was surprisingly quiet and a real suntrap. There is also the added bonus of a private parking space which is at a premium in this locality.

Hi Robert, Thank you for your review of Blue Sky Cottage. The cottage is conveniently close to the town centre with an added bonus of a parking space to the rear of the property. The outside seating area is perfect for relaxing in with a glass of wine or locally brewed ale after a day of exploring the area. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

A very comfortable stay
This is one of a few cottages that actually looks like the photos. Very tastefully furnished. Nice space to sit in the kitchen extension. Good location for walking into town and the bus station. Could be noisy at times

Hi Sue, Thank you for your review of Blue Sky Cottage. It is a very tastefully furnished cottage and handily close to the town centre for when you want to go exploring. The outside space is perfect for having a glass of wine after a day of seeing what Keswick and the surrounding area has to offer. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

Lovely, clean and well positioned cottage
Cottage quiet given location on street and it was clean and comfortable. Parking is a bonus in Keswick too. Just 3 minute walk to main square, so very handy for seeking eateries in the evening. Service from Keswick Cottages excellent too. Highly recommend cottage and KC for holiday.

A beautiful cottage that had everything we needed! Lovely welcome packs with all the added extras that you may forget and a very welcome coffee machine with pods which we weren’t expecting! The children loved the top floor snug-as did we:) A fabulous location with so much to do right on our doorstep. Would recommend to all our friends and will definitely return!
Fantastic accommodation, a super fun reno but still incredibly practical. Felt completely at home and very relaxed. Excellent location for easy walking to Keswick and a short drive to the rest of the lakes highlights. Fully recommend
I enjoyed breakfast on the patio in the uncharacteristic Lakeland sunshine. Parking off road.
