Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Another great holiday in Keswick
We've had several stays now in Bridge House Apartments in Keswick. The cleanliness, condition etc of the property was, as always, superb. The only slight downside initially were 2 disappointed grandchildren - the trampoline had gone from the garden! Also, on a wider issue (and through no fault whatsoever of Keswick Cottages) there were several pieces of play equipment, including the zipwire, out of action in the play area of Fitz park. This area is normally teeming with families and kids, but was very quiet this year. As this is probably the busiest time of year, and I realise that there would be some cost involved, I would have thought that the Keswick / Cumbria authorities would have addressed the problem with some urgency. The weather behaved itself - dry all week, and despite being busy as always, I still find Keswick a really lovely town, with plenty of things to do. I also like the 'continental' feel which is beginning to appear - many of the small hospitality businesses now have tables and chairs outside on the pavement! Booked again for next year!

Hi John, Thank you for your review. The Bridge House apartments are ideally located in the centre of Keswick on a quiet complex. The shared garden is an added bonus but I will certainly enquire about the missing trampoline. The complex is so handy for the shops and only a short walk in to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. As for the issues in Fitz Park I hope that this did not impact your stay too much and I hope that the issues are sorted in time for your return next year. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Lovely apartment
Very well appointed and comfortable apartment but bedrooms proved very noisy at night owing to passing traffic.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the apartment! We hope you had fantastic time exploring Keswick. I'm sorry to hear that the location wasn't quite right for you, the property is conveniently situated for the nearby restaurants, shops, cafes and other attractions, but if you would prefer a more peaceful location we do look after a number of cottages on the outskirts of Keswick or surrounding villages. We're a small local team so please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like any help or suggestions while planning your next stay. Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

Lovely cottage
Have stayed here several times before. Always excellent. The dogs loved the large garden area. A few useful things like kitchen roll, cling film, and more toilet rolls would be good. Also the TV has a shadow across the top quarter. But apart from these small niggles lovely place.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of your stay at Bridge House Apartment 1, we hope you enjoyed yet another stay at the property! Part of the Bridge Complex, Bridge House Apartment 1 has shared use of the large garden, which also houses children's play equipment, so fantastic for families! Thank you also for your feedback, this will be passed on! We look forward to welcoming you back for your next stay! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages
