A nice stay in Keswick
A very clean property in a great location in Keswick. Property had nearly everything we needed. Some shower gel and shampoo would make it feel more luxurious. Although there was a warning about the many steps, the ones to the front door are particularly steep and narrow, but there is lighting and a hand rail.

Thank you for leaving such a lovely review for Skiddaw Skies. We hope you made the most of its great location and enjoyed all the lovely walks, shops and places to eat Keswick has to offer. We appreciate you highlighting the steps for future guests. They are a little steep, but we like to think the wonderful views at the top make the climb worthwhile! We are so pleased you had a 5 star stay, we hope we can welcome you back soon.

4th Stay at Skiddaw Skies
Our 4th stay at Skiddaw Skies says it all. We continue to have mixed weather for walking (that's the Lake District for you), but the accommodation is always a constant. The supply of guidebooks, maps and magazines never ceases to amaze and there's plenty of other books and games to keep you occupied if ever you need to stay in. The internet went down intermittently during our week, so Keswick Cottages arranged temporary WIFi until an engineer could visit. WiFi has never been an issue before and I'm sure it will have been sorted. We'll be back - to enjoy the comfort, convenience of location, views and wonderful map in the kitchen.

Thank you, Kathryn, for your wonderful review and for choosing Skiddaw Skies for a fourth stay. Returning guests are the greatest compliment we can receive, and we're delighted to hear that the comfort, location, views and unique touches of the property continue to make it such a great base for your Lake District holidays. It's lovely to know that the collection of guidebooks, maps, magazines and games helped add to your stay, whatever the weather had in store. We also appreciate your understanding regarding the temporary Wi-Fi issues and are pleased that our team was able to arrange a solution while the matter was being investigated. Feedback like yours is incredibly valuable to us and to future guests looking for the right property, and we're so grateful for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you back for a fifth stay in the future. On your next visit, a walk along the shores of Buttermere is always a fantastic day out, with some truly breathtaking scenery whatever the season. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

3rd stay and still perfect
We're recently back from our 3rd stay at Skiddaw Skies and just love it. We tried a different time of the year in the hope of better weather (than in the Autumn) and no such luck! Still, we had a fantastic time. The accommodation suits us perfectly as it's so conveniently located for buses and shops and local walk possibilities from the door. Plus it's so comfortable. It has the added bonus of plentiful books and maps to browse through and many puzzles and games if the weather really turns. And of course, the wonderful views, which really help with walk planning as you can see what the weather is doing. The many stairs are not an issue for us - the hardest ones are on the outside of the property and could be tricky in ice, but there is a handrail. I also like dealing with a local office. We'll be back!

Hi there! Thank you so much for your lovely review — and for choosing to return to Skiddaw Skies for a third stay. That really does mean a great deal to us. We’re delighted to hear how much you continue to enjoy the property and that it suits you so well, whatever the season — even if the weather didn’t quite play ball again! It’s great to know the comfortable setting, convenient location for buses, shops, and walks, and those ever?changing views all help make it such a special place to stay. It’s also lovely to hear you made the most of the books, maps, and games — they really do come into their own when the weather turns, and the views are perfect for planning the next adventure. Thank you as well for your helpful note about the steps and handrail, which will be useful for future guests. We really appreciate your kind words about booking with a local team too — as a small, independent business, that means a lot to us. We’re so pleased you had another fantastic stay, and we’ll look forward to welcoming you back again — hopefully with a bit more sunshine next time! Best wishes, Keswick Cottages
