Christmas At Rose Bank Cottage
Rose Bank Cottage was everything we expected it to be, it didn't disappoint. We know Keswick very well and have been coming here for years but this year we wanted something a bit more magical as it was Christmas. Set in the beautiful village of Braithwaite the location was perfect for us enjoying the local walks from the cottage with our family and dog who had the best walks ever. We made use of the two pubs in the village eating at both, we found them both to be very friendly. The village looked lovely with all the Christmas lights, It really felt like Christmas! The cottage itself was very comfortable and warm with a log burner which we used on several occasions. It was very in keeping with the local area and had been tastefully decorated, the kitchen we believe had recently been renovated too which was a nice surprise. It was nice to have Christmas decorations too which had been put up for us with fresh Christmas Ivy. We cooked a full Christmas dinner in the kitchen and found all equipment to be of a high standard, the oven cooked the turkey perfectly! The only thing missing was a gravy boat so had to use the measuring jug instead!!!! We had a fantastic time, loved the cottage, the gardens we believe would be a lovely space in the summer with fantastic views. I would not hesitate at having Christmas here again!! Thank you

We agree that Braithwaite is a beautiful village with lots of walks to choose from and great pubs too. We are so glad you found the cottage warm, very comfortable and made use of the log burner. We are so pleased you found it decorated tastefully and reflected the local area. We love that you enjoyed the Christmas decorations and had a yummy Christmas dinner, the owners have now provided a gravy boat for future guests. We are so happy you had a fantastic Christmas at Rose Bank Cottage and that you loved it and the gardens. We cannot wait to welcome you back when you next visit. Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

Rose Bank Cottage
Caution needed on exiting car onto the narrow, busy Newlands Road. Cottage a delight - spotlessly clean, compact, well equipped, comfortable and warm. Owners, next door, very helpful. Enjoyed the week so much that I have re-booked for 2024.
Lovely property
Rose Bank Cottage is in a nice location in the village close to the pubs and bus stop. This was our second visit and again we were not disappointed, very clean and well presented cottage with everything we needed for our holiday.

Thank you so much for your 5 star review! We love that you are returning guests and it didn't disappoint on your second time visiting Rose Bank Cottage! It truly is a special cottage! We are so glad it had everything you needed to enjoy your holiday and we hope to welcome you back if you chose to visit for a third time! Best Wishes, Keswick Cottages

Great location, loads of walks, hikes and trail runs straight from the doorstep. Nice enclosed garden for the dogs. A few local pubs and all serve food and dog friendly. A local store for all the essentials. Keswick is a nice walk if you need anything else, but also easy to jump on the bus or use the car.
We had a wonderful stay here with our 3 and 6 year old. Lovely location with beautiful garden and lovely views of the hills. We stayed here with our dog and it was perfect with an enclosed garden we could let him run around in and loads of country walks direct from the cottage. Two local pubs, a coffee shop and village shop all lovely and 5 minutes walk from the cottage. The cottage is fairly small but exactly as the photos show and good value for money. It was nice to be out in the country but still only 5 minutes drive from Keswick. Really highly recommended.
Great stay in this lovely peaceful cottage. Weather wonderful and great walks within easy reach, would definitely recommend.
