Lovely cottage
We ended up here very last minute and we loved every minute of the nine nights we stayed here it. It's a great place to stay if you want to be near to Keswick but not necessarly in Keswick. If you've got a big SUV parking can be tricky but our Renault Captur fitted in there fine. It's highly recommended.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your lovely review. We’re delighted that you found us and that the cottage was available for your last-minute getaway. It’s wonderful to hear you loved every minute of your nine-night stay and that the location worked so well for you — close enough to enjoy everything Keswick has to offer, whilst still having a little more peace and quiet away from the town centre. Thank you as well for mentioning the parking. As you found, it can be a little snug for larger vehicles, but it’s great to know your Renault Captur fitted comfortably. We really appreciate your recommendation and are so pleased you had such an enjoyable stay. We’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you back again in the future. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Great location , lovely period features
Really nice characterful cottage in a great location for hiking from the door with parking for two cars. Easy access to Braithwaite and the facilities and walks from there , and also to Keswick town centre. Would benefit from a more extensive ‘welcome pack' and other basics you often get in cottages these days ( fresh milk , kitchen roll , oils and condiments etc ) but overall would definitely recommend the cottage .

Hi there! Thank you so much for your lovely review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the cottage’s character, the fantastic walking opportunities straight from the doorstep, and the convenience of having parking for two cars. It’s great to know the location worked so well for you, with easy access to both Braithwaite and Keswick, and all the walks, shops, and facilities they have to offer. Thank you as well for your feedback regarding the welcome provisions. We provide a starter supply of essentials to help guests settle in on arrival, but we appreciate that expectations can vary and it’s always helpful to hear what guests would find useful. Fresh milk and other perishable items are not provided as standard due to differing dietary requirements, hygiene considerations, and food waste, but we do offer optional extra packs for guests who would like additional provisions waiting for them on arrival. We’re so pleased these were only minor observations and that you would still recommend the cottage. Thank you again for your feedback, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back in the future. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Comfortable cottage in good location
Very comfortable and clean, great spot for walking locally or down to Keswick. Plenty of space for meals and cooking or just relaxing. Good pub next door! Car parking is tight- more signage would help - and outdoor areas would benefit from some weeding, but these are minor points. Would definitely recommend.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your lovely review. We’re delighted to hear you found the property comfortable, clean, and such a great base for both local walks and trips into Keswick. It’s wonderful to know you enjoyed having plenty of space to cook, dine, and relax, and we’re glad the pub next door proved a hit too! [Emoji Removed] Thank you as well for your helpful feedback. We appreciate your comments regarding the parking and signage, and we'll pass these on for consideration. We’ve also noted your observations about the outdoor areas and will share them with the owner. We’re so pleased these were only minor points and that they didn’t detract from what was otherwise an enjoyable stay. Thank you for your recommendation — it really does mean a lot to us. We’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you back again in the future. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Stayed at Barf Cottage, Portinscale over Christmas and it was utterly perfect. Lovely, clean cottage and fantastic helpful communication from Keswick Cottages. They even left our pooch a Xmas box with snacks and a ball. Highly recommended.
A lovely and homely cottage! We were a party of 5 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. It was really clean and welcoming. There’s plenty of books and DVD’s along with some board games which was a nice touch. The bedrooms are bigger than they look in the pictures which was a nice surprise. The top bedroom can get quite warm (as it’s on the top floor) so best to bring a fan during warmer months if you can. The local area is lovely and it’s a really nice place to relax after hiking. Would recommend!
Great place, would stay again.
