Description

The bungalow is well situated in a popular peaceful location on the outskirts of Keswick with a well-maintained mature garden and fell views. The large level patio area extends from the driveway up to and around the property, with lots of interesting features and nooks to explore including a fountain, fish pond and barbeque area. There is also a bike shelter with anchor points.

As you enter the home you will find the welcoming open-plan kitchen/diner with quality appliances and fittings well-stocked for your holiday. There is a spacious dining table, seating and TV making this an ideal place for socialising with friends and family while you cook and dine. Views from the dining area are wonderful as you look over Keswick to towards Grisedale Pike where the sun sets.

Moving into the tastefully decorated living room you will find two comfortable leather sofas, smart TV and feature log effect gas fire.

The home has three beautiful bedrooms, all made up with luxury white crisp bed linen and towels. There are two double bedrooms, one with ensuite, and a single bedroom. The main bathroom has a lovely bath and walk-in shower.

There is a lovely collection of original art with many paintings to enjoy.

Visitors will not need to worry about where to leave the car as there is private allocated car parking on the driveway.

Complimentary WiFi throughout

Safety for younger visitors – The large pond is less than 3 feet at its deepest, it is raised above ground level and has shrubs etc all around making it difficult for anyone to enter the water which is also very clear. Some large fish call it home. Other water feature / pond is also raised and only 6-8 inches deep.

Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Reviews

Pinecroft is a very convenient location for Keswick
We liked the location as its only 15 minute to Keswick. Enough parking for two cars although reversing out onto Eleventrees needs care. The house was clean apart from multitude of cobwebs and all the facities necessary for two weeks stay were there and working. The bedroom with the ensuite could be improved by giving access to the bedside lights, at the moment the switches are behind the headboard. The outside had a good choice for seating especially as the weather was usually hot. Its a bit of a euphemism to say the grounds are "a work in progress" when clearly they have not been touched for ages. We would still book again and maybe Roger will have made some progress. Keswick cottages provided a good service and we would definitely use them again

Hi David, Thank you for your review. Pinecroft is ideally located on the outskirts of Keswick making it a lovely walk in to the town centre. There are plenty of walks right from the doorstep including the Keswick to Threlkeld walk along the old railway line and Latrigg. You have Castlerigg Stone Circle close by and Keswick Climbing Wall. The garden at Pinecroft is a great place to relax after a day of adventures. We hope to welcome you back again soon! Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Comfy stay in Keswick
We enjoyed a comfortable, and peaceful stay at Pinecroft, despite the weather not being the best. It is in a quiet area on the outskirts of the town, but within easy walking distance of the main shops and amenities. Its close proximity to the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Path was handy for early morning dog walks. Fitz Park was lovely for a walk and for our granddaughter to play on the playground. We would also recommend Whinlatter Forest, and the Lake District Wildlife Park, and visiting Max the Miracle Dog's statue in Hope Park. The only downside we found was there was no grass area in the garden, which we had expected from the photos online. However, this was not a major problem as there was a grass verge opposite the drive, and also a small wooded area at the bottom of the road. We found Keswick Cottages to be quick to respond to queries, and very helpful. We would definitely consider using them again, if staying in the area.

Hi Anthony, Thank you for your review Hi Anthony, Thank you for your review. Pinecroft is set in a lovely area of Keswick with easy access to the town either by car or by walking down the railway line towards Fitz Park. It sounds like you've got up to lots of fun activities while you've been in Keswick and we hope you've made lots of happy memories and will come back soon to make many more. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Comfortable Cottage in great location
Pinecroft is a lovely cottage with everything needed for a great week away. The location is ideal for not only Keswick with all it's amenities but for easy travel to both the Central and Eastern Lakes however there are so many lovely walks direct from the cottage there is really no need to move the car. We found the lounge a great place to relax after a long day on the fells and together with the comfy beds aided a good night's sleep ready for the next day's adventure. The garden is lovely with lots of different seating areas including a BBQ. We had a fabulous week in this lovely cottage and we will definitely be returning hopefully very soon.

Hi Barbara, Thank you for your lovely review. Pinecroft is ideally located for the town centre and plenty of walks in the area including the Keswick to Threlkeld walk along the old railway line. A bus stop close to the house also means that you can explore further afield if you wish. Plenty of outdoor space makes the gardens the perfect place to relax after a day of adventures! Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.
