Mountain View is a fabulous penthouse apartment in the centre of Keswick commanding views of Skiddaw to one side and Borrowdale to the other. It is a fantastic two-bedroom apartment that offers the ideal place to relax with family and friends, situated within easy walking distance of Keswick Market Square and Derwentwater lakeshore. The apartment is spread over the top floor on one level, where guests are comfortably accommodated in the two tastefully styled bedrooms, sharing one family bathroom. Hosting open plan living, the well equipped kitchen is situated next to the large living area, with additional dining space. Essentials, such as cookwear and appliances, are paired with indulgent extras, such as a new espresso machine and a selection of espresso pods. The apartment is well stocked to make your Lake District stay a pleasure. Mountain View is the penthouse apartment in a small quiet block, and being on the top floor, may mean a healthy trot up three flights of stairs, but it certainly has the best views!

Description

Mountain View is a fantastic two bedroom apartment that offers the ideal place to relax with family and friends, situated within easy walking distance of Keswick Market Square and Derwentwater lakeshore. The apartment is located in Heads Road Court, a little hidden courtyard super close to the lake, but in the town centre.

The free, allocated parking certainly helps breathe a sigh of relief when you arrive. Mountain View is the top floor apartment in the small, quiet, block, which is half residential, half holiday accommodation.

Being the penthouse apartment may mean a healthy trot up three flights of stairs, but it certainly has the best views! You can’t beat the views of Skiddaw to one side and towards the lake and Borrowdale on the other. Don’t fear if you have outdoor equipment, or a big buggy, we have secure storage in the courtyard, where you can keep your things safe during your stay.

The apartment has a beautifully styled king-size bedroom, and second bedroom with a double bed plus one single bed making the property very versatile for different groups. The family bathroom, with shower over the bath, includes luxury bathroom toiletries.

Hosting open plan living, the kitchen has a fridge, freezer, double oven, five burner gas hob, dishwasher and microwave. In the large lounge area, there is a dining table for four, and a leather corner sofa with TV and DVD. There is gas central heating for the chillier months and a feature electric fire in the lounge area. We offer free, secure WiFi throughout the apartment.

Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Great stay
Super apartment in a central location. Amazing views. Fully equipped and very clean, comfortable beds also. Would definitely book again and completely recommend (unless you have a problem with stairs as on the top floor).

Another great stay at Mountain View
Having stayed here for many years, we never tire of the mountain views (hence the name). The apartment is superbly located, near both Keswick centre and the lake, for walking. It is very spacious & well equipped, with comfortable beds & superb bedding. The only issue could be the 3 flights of stairs, for any visitors with mobility problems. Keswick cottages have always been an excellent company to deal with. The staff are very approachable and helpful.

Good as ever.
We have used the flat for many years. Great location, good relatively recent refurbishment and plenty of exercise up and down the stairs.

Great apartment in a fantastic location. The views are excellent and the property is beautifully maintained with lots of high quality kitchen equipment. Easy walking distance to both the lake and town, and a peaceful place to relax. We briefly had an issue with the heating but this was quickly resolved by the hosts. Would highly recommend this place.

Well appointed and stylish apartment. It had everything you could need to self cater. Clean, comfortable and great views. It is also in a central location and the parking outside is a great bonus. Easy to walk into town, equally easy to hop in the car and drive out somewhere.
