A charming Lakeland 'snug' with views of Skiddaw, Barf Cottage is situated in the tranquil village on the edge of Derwentwater. Within an easy 20 minute walk to the market town of Keswick the cottage is a stone throw away from the local pub The Farmers Arms, a 5 minute walk from 'The Chalet' tearooms and a 10 minute walk to Derwent and Nicole End Marinas. The cottage retains all the original features of a traditional Lakeland home yet at the same time offers modern fixtures, comfort and style. A small yet characterful front garden has outdoor seating to enjoy that 'post hike' drink on sunny afternoons and evenings. The cottage serves as a wonderful bolthole for couples, small groups of friends or families.
Lovely and clean as usual. A minor leak with the shower was sorted straight away. We felt very safe here with all the extra cleaning and social distancing at Keswick market (Thursday). A very much needed break for us all in this terrible year.Dean

Jasmine is the perfect retreat for couples, there is both a pub and formal dining within a couple minutes walk from the doorstep, the cottage is only minutes away from the shores of Derwentwater and a 20 minute easy stroll into Keswick. The property has a traditional and welcoming feel with original beams and a cast iron wood burning stove for snug evenings in. Outside there is a patio area with outdoor seating, ideal for that sunny afternoon. Free unlimited Wi-Fi.
Fourth visit to Jasmine and we consider it home from home. Everything we need as walkers (no driving all week) with boot room for a wet dog a bonus. Great pub round the corner with free wifi so that's sorted too! Will be returning again. Staff at Keswick Cottages always very helpful so much so we stayed extra night at cottage.Karen & Si

Fully refurbished and styled to a beautiful high standard, Lone Tree Cottage offers you the opportunity to stay together with family or friends in your very own private Lakeland residence. The fantastic two/three bedroom cottage sleeps 4 or 5, situated in a stunning village location, however, still close enough to be walkable to the town centre and Keswick Market Square. Lone Tree Cottage is warm and welcoming, yet stylish, light and spacious. From the outside, the cottage may look like a traditional semi, however, step inside and you’ll instantly be taken by the luxury makeover that we have created. Here old and new blend effortlessly to create a welcoming cosy cottage that you’ll instantly feel at home in. With free, secure WiFi throughout, fully and tastefully equipped, a small enclosed walled yard to the rear and fine views, we guarantee we have everything you need so you’ll want to return again and again!
We are 'honoured' to be the first to stay in Lone Tree Cottage. We have had a wonderful stay in this delightful abode. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the tastfully kitted out interior all over the house. Beautiful bedrooms also. We had great times here, and only wish we could have stayed longer! Many thanks indeed. The Lauder Family

Lovely out of the way location. Stunning view from the window. Handy boot room for wet coats and boots. Very comfortable accommodation. Nice stroll into Keswick, rain or shine! Footpath was a bit waterlogged so wear waterproofs and sturdy boots! Everyone is dressed the same xxAmanda
