Millside cottage is a lovingly maintained spacious two bedroom cottage, situated in a peaceful part of the village. There are many endearing characteristics including a beamed ceiling and an attractive fireplace. The small sun room overlooking the garden is a lovely feature with comfortable wicker chairs and table, ideal for afternoon tea and reading. South facing garden to the back of the cottage, with views of Braithwaite's own 'Wainwright' Barrow and also Skiddaw. With easy access to many local walks and Whinlatter Forest, Millside is a favourite for many. Free unlimited WI-FI and private parking for two cars.
Stayed here for a week in July, 2 adults 2 kids and 1 dog, great cottage right in the centre of Braithwaite, it was surprisingly spacious inside with every amenity you could wish for. Two lovely pubs within walking distance and fantastic woodland walks in Whinlatter forest which is very close. Would definitely recommend.Janet

Rock Lynn is a detached bungalow set in an elevated position above Braithwaite village with the most fabulous views over the village towards Skiddaw, the Helvellyn range and right round to Barrow. Superbly fitted and equipped with everything and more to ensure a wonderful stay in the Keswick area. Outside there is a large private patio complete with barbeque enabling you to spend some quality time with family whilst enjoying the stunning views. Full gas central heating and double glazing. Ample Parking.
We had a really enjoyable stay in this lovely holiday house and we really felt at home along with our Chihuahua. Having stayed in the owner's B&B nearby we knew that Rock Lynn would be special. We found it clean, tidy and well equipped. The open fire is a treat though we were warm enough with the central heating. We found the beds and furniture comfy. We hope to return in warmer weather so as to enjoy the outside seating / barbeque area. The views from the house windows are of Skiddaw round to Catbells and Causey Pike. Its good to be somewhere so peaceful even though the village is just down the lane, and Keswick is just a few minutes in the car. We will return soon.Paul

Imagine a pretty lakeland cottage which backs onto open fields with superb fell views and a little running beck at the bottom of the large private garden. The setting provided by Rose Bank Cottage is idyllic for a relaxing family holiday in peaceful surroundings. This lovely home from home has a warm inviting appearance which is further accentuated by the log-burning stove to enjoy cosy nights in. Great base for many local walks and only a short stroll to the village shop and pubs. Free unlimited WI-FI. Private Parking.
The cottage is wonderful and in a lovely peaceful location. There were 4 of us but it did not feel crowded. Everything was provided (except the husband missed his WIFI!). The patio out the back was a lovely sun trap. Great access to shop and pubs in Braithwaite, and great walking straight from the house. We would definitely stay here again.Kilduff

Stanger Cottage is a lovely traditional cottage resting conveniently within the village of Braithwaite and used to form part of the old village school, dating back to the late 1800’s. The cottage is spacious with modern fixtures and fittings and plenty of homely touches throughout. All rooms have fantastic views of the fells which are on the door step, and is just a stride away from the local pubs, restaurants, village shop and Whinlatter Forest park is just a few minutes drive away. The cottage makes an excellent base for exploring the Lake District and offers a haven for rest and relaxation after your outdoor adventures.
Thanks to the wonders of the internet we found this cottage, a great find. Superb location, warm and comfortable, and a cottage with so much history. Can’t imagine it as a school! Thanks for providing for all our needs.David and Janet Llewelyn
