Stayed here for a week in July, 2 adults 2 kids and 1 dog, great cottage right in the centre of Braithwaite, it was surprisingly spacious inside with every amenity you could wish for. Two lovely pubs within walking distance and fantastic woodland walks in Whinlatter forest which is very close. Would definitely recommend.Janet

Testimonials
We had a really enjoyable stay in this lovely holiday house and we really felt at home along with our Chihuahua. Having stayed in the owner's B&B nearby we knew that Rock Lynn would be special. We found it clean, tidy and well equipped. The open fire is a treat though we were warm enough with the central heating. We found the beds and furniture comfy. We hope to return in warmer weather so as to enjoy the outside seating / barbeque area. The views from the house windows are of Skiddaw round to Catbells and Causey Pike. Its good to be somewhere so peaceful even though the village is just down the lane, and Keswick is just a few minutes in the car. We will return soon.Paul

This lovely home from home has a warm inviting appearance which is further accentuated by the log-burning stove to enjoy cosy nights in. Great base for many local walks and only a short stroll to the village shop and pubs. Free unlimited WI-FI. Private Parking.

The cottage is wonderful and in a lovely peaceful location. There were 4 of us but it did not feel crowded. Everything was provided (except the husband missed his WIFI!). The patio out the back was a lovely sun trap. Great access to shop and pubs in Braithwaite, and great walking straight from the house. We would definitely stay here again.Kilduff

Stanger Cottage is a lovely traditional cottage resting conveniently within the village of Braithwaite and used to form part of the old village school, dating back to the late 1800’s. The cottage is spacious with modern fixtures and fittings and plenty of homely touches throughout. All rooms have fantastic views of the fells which are on the door step, and is just a stride away from the local pubs, restaurants, village shop and Whinlatter Forest park is just a few minutes drive away. The cottage makes an excellent base for exploring the Lake District and offers a haven for rest and relaxation after your outdoor adventures.
