This spacious and bright bungalow is situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Braithwaite with magnificent walks from the door and mountain views from every window. It is a peaceful and ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Lake District or to simply relax in your own private haven. The village store and local pubs are within a stone’s throw, whilst bustling Keswick is a couple of miles away.
Whatever you're expecting, it's difficult to imagine a better place for a Lakeland getaway than Causey View. Bonuses for us - a "senior" couple - was the comfort for days in, and the variety of lower level walks from the front door. Brilliant!Peter and Pim Claridge

Millside cottage is a lovingly maintained spacious two bedroom cottage, situated in a peaceful part of the village. There are many endearing characteristics including a beamed ceiling and an attractive fireplace. The small sun room overlooking the garden is a lovely feature with comfortable wicker chairs and table, ideal for afternoon tea and reading. South facing garden to the back of the cottage, with views of Braithwaite's own 'Wainwright' Barrow and also Skiddaw. With easy access to many local walks and Whinlatter Forest, Millside is a favourite for many. Free unlimited WI-FI and private parking for two cars.
As you will have already guessed I am going to say that the cottage was perfect. It clean and tidy and in an ideal position for walking and touring. We really enjoyed our stay. However there are a couple of niggles with the description Whilst you can get two cars in front of the cottage, with the other cars parked opposite at the cottages on the other side of the lane, and the dustbin and step,it means manoeuvring is very tight, and the cars are parked very close side by side meaning one car has to move to release the other car. The patio was great for sitting out having meals, but the garden is more a border o shrubs surrounding the patio. The Oven needed cleaning! Do not be put off the cottage is realy niceThe Lavender party

Imagine a pretty lakeland cottage which backs onto open fields with superb fell views and a little running beck at the bottom of the large private garden. The setting provided by Rose Bank Cottage is idyllic for a relaxing family holiday in peaceful surroundings. This lovely home from home has a warm inviting appearance which is further accentuated by the log-burning stove to enjoy cosy nights in. Great base for many local walks and only a short stroll to the village shop and pubs. Free unlimited WI-FI. Private Parking.
We've lost count of the number of times we have stayed in Rose Bank Cottage over the years. It is in a great location in Braithwaite, within walking distance to the pubs. The cottage is always well maintained and clean. There are nice little touches in the cottage too. Over the years we have stayed in other cottages in Braithwaite and have never been disappointed. Service from Keswick Cottages is always excellent.Claire and Andrew Carr

Stanger Cottage is a lovely traditional cottage resting conveniently within the village of Braithwaite and used to form part of the old village school, dating back to the late 1800’s. The cottage is spacious with modern fixtures and fittings and plenty of homely touches throughout. All rooms have fantastic views of the fells which are on the door step, and is just a stride away from the local pubs, restaurants, village shop and Whinlatter Forest park is just a few minutes drive away. The cottage makes an excellent base for exploring the Lake District and offers a haven for rest and relaxation after your outdoor adventures.
Enjoyed a fantastic short break. Beautiful, cosy and ideally placed cottage. First time in a cottage and was impressed with Keswick Cottages. Felt very chilled out the whole stay and the place was warm and clean. Great dog friendly place, will come back again.Paul & Dot
