Local, fresh, and full of flavour, the Royal Oak is right at the top of Keswick town centre.
After a day spent browsing the Thursday and Saturday markets, round off the day with a trip to the Royal Oak for lunch or dinner (or ‘tea’, for our Northerners!).
Indulge in a steak: 8oz fillets, or 10oz ribeye or sirloin, all served with thick-cut chips and trimmings. Or, come home to the classics- Thwaites Beer-Battered Fish & Chips, or good-old Cumberland sausages, served with mashed potatoes and gravy.
When in Keswick, as they say…
Choose whether to dine in the charming restaurant, or catch up with friends in our bar, where dogs are welcome and the atmosphere is like a local pub. You’ll feel that warm embrace as soon as you step through the door!
And if you’re already familiar with the magic that is the Royal Oak and miss it already, it’s a great excuse to book your next getaway to one of our central Keswick properties, or neighbouring villages of Portinscale, Braithwaite, Thornthwaite and Threlkeld.
Got some snaps of your meal(s) at the Royal Oak? We’d love to see them! Tag us on Instagram in all your local snaps and favourite places–we love to support local businesses! We’re @keswickcottages everywhere.
