Hiring a boat is the perfect way to get out and explore the Islands and shoreline of Derwentwater.

The summer hire season runs from April through to the end of October, with a choice of paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, rowing boats and pedalos available.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult on the water, and you should ensure that there are enough adults to supervise young people in your party. As a guide, one adult should be responsible for no more than 3 young people.
