Mountain View is a fabulous penthouse apartment in the centre of Keswick commanding views of Skiddaw to one side and Borrowdale to the other. It is a fantastic two-bedroom apartment that offers the ideal place to relax with family and friends, situated within easy walking distance of Keswick Market Square and Derwentwater lakeshore. The apartment is spread over the top floor on one level, where guests are comfortably accommodated in the two tastefully styled bedrooms, sharing one family bathroom. Hosting open plan living, the well equipped kitchen is situated next to the large living area, with additional dining space. Essentials, such as cookwear and appliances, are paired with indulgent extras, such as a new espresso machine and a selection of espresso pods. The apartment is well stocked to make your Lake District stay a pleasure. Mountain View is the penthouse apartment in a small quiet block, and being on the top floor, may mean a healthy trot up three flights of stairs, but it certainly has the best views!

Description

Mountain View is a fantastic two bedroom apartment that offers the ideal place to relax with family and friends, situated within easy walking distance of Keswick Market Square and Derwentwater lakeshore. The apartment is located in Heads Road Court, a little hidden courtyard super close to the lake, but in the town centre.

The free, allocated parking certainly helps breathe a sigh of relief when you arrive. Mountain View is the top floor apartment in the small, quiet, block, which is half residential, half holiday accommodation.

Being the penthouse apartment may mean a healthy trot up three flights of stairs, but it certainly has the best views! You can’t beat the views of Skiddaw to one side and towards the lake and Borrowdale on the other. Don’t fear if you have outdoor equipment, or a big buggy, we have secure storage in the courtyard, where you can keep your things safe during your stay.

The apartment has a beautifully styled king-size bedroom, and second bedroom with a double bed plus one single bed making the property very versatile for different groups. The family bathroom, with shower over the bath, includes luxury bathroom toiletries.

Hosting open plan living, the kitchen has a fridge, freezer, double oven, five burner gas hob, dishwasher and microwave. In the large lounge area, there is a dining table for four, and a leather corner sofa with TV and DVD. There is gas central heating for the chillier months and a feature electric fire in the lounge area. We offer free, secure WiFi throughout the apartment.

Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Fantastic
I've been staying in holiday lets in Keswick for many years and I'm pretty sure that this is the best I've stayed in. Great location in the middle of Keswick, and happily my favourite restaurant in town is on the ground floor of the building! Very well presented with an amazing kitchen and fantastically well-equipped (so many places don't even have one pint glass, let alone 6!). A few days into my stay the latch on the main entrance to the building was loose and likely to fall off soon - I alerted Keswick Cottages and someone came to fix it the next morning. Even the fact its on the top floor didn't seem so bad after a long walk because of the way the stairs are set out with half landings. Great stay and I would VERY happily book Mountain View again. Loved it.

Mountain View is a fantastic apartment for a holiday in Keswick. The views are stunning and the location is perfect - central to the town, the lake and roads if you are going out and about. The apartment itself is really comfortable - easy to relax in and enjoy. The entire place was pristine and had everything you could need for a weeks visit. I have found previously that some places don’t have enough utensils or basics such as sponges etc, but a Mountain View had everything we needed. It was very handy to have a private parking space in the centre of Keswick - as it can otherwise be tricky (or costly!) to get parked. Instructions for check in including how to find the space and key box were so helpful. Overall a fantastic visit and a stunning apartment - would be happy to stay again!

We had a great stay here, couldn't have asked for a better location in relation to town and Derwentwater. The place itself was super cosy and had everything you could need. We'd definitely return if visiting Keswick again.
