Keswick offers plenty of options to keep you occupied during your stay. For walkers the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trial which starts next to the Keswick Leisure centre is a 5 kilometre (10 kilometre there and back) walk along what was once a railway track. It offers beautiful views and is a multi-user trial suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. If you fancy something with a little more elevation and spectacular views, Latrigg and Walla Crag can be reached from your doorstep, and you can even tick off some Wainwrights! 10 minutes out of Keswick is Whinlatter forest, which offers a huge selection of walks and outdoor activities.

Keswick itself offers lots of amenities, from shops to cafés, pubs to theatres, you will be spoilt for choice.

Annual visit
We regularly visit and the place is always spick and span. Perfect location for the Keswick Convention.

Hi Paul, Thank you for your review. Bridge Mews' central location make it a great base for exploring the town and it's amenities and most certainly well placed for the Convention. We hope you had a fantastic stay. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

Good for younger folk, but not for those with challenges.
We've stayed at this property for several years. This year will be our last. The staircase is narrow and twisty and all the shopping has to be carried up it as the living area is upstairs. The sofa is incredibly difficult to get out of once you've settled into it. The chairs at the dining table are too big for the available space and so you have to move the table back and forth to allow each person to get into the chair to sit for a meal. We've put up with this as the location is wonderful and the facilities and equipment are very good (I don't think there's anything you'd want that you wouldn't find in the kitchen) but arthritic knees are going to stop us coming again. This year reinforced the fact that this was not built (/converted) with heat waves in mind. The two skylights cannot be covered and the windows that can be opened don't provide a good cross draught. We always bring fans with us (a pedestal fan for upstairs and a large desk fan for the bedroom) and they were not enough on the first weekend of our stay, when the temperatures were 30+. The heat upstairs was almost unbearable. I do not know how someone without the forethought of bringing their own fans would have coped.

Hi Sheila, Thank you for your review of Bridge Mews. It is a lovely property in the heart of Keswick. The outdoor space is great to relax in after a day of exploring. We hope that we can welcome you back again in one of our many other fantastic properties. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

We have been here before and will do so again
We have stayed in this property several times before and it was once again very good for our purpose of a holiday base and retreat in the Lake District. it's position is ideal for being central to all facilities and yet quiet, being tucked behind Bridge House, with it's own private parking spot. The cost is a bit on the high side for a two person accommodation, but all equipment and furnishings are of a very high standard and it all feels very comfortable

Hi Michael, Thank you for your review of Bridge Mews It is always good to welcome a returning guest. Bridge Mews is perfectly located in a quiet courtyard yet just off the main street so handy for the town and all the shops, restaurants and pubs. We hope we will be able to welcome you back again soon. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

Cosy cottage in central but quiet location. After a day walking, it’s great to have so many places and choices to eat within a five minute stroll!
Had a great weeks holiday at Bridge Mews. The cottage is in central Keswick but tucked away in a quiet courtyard away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Accommodation very comfortable with log burner. Well equipped with a very impressive hob and cooker. Parking for one car, off road. Walking from the door. And lastly dog friendly. Would highly recommend
Great location, excellent property. Well equipped, warm, spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. Excellent service from Keswick cottages as always.
