When we first approached Keswick Cottages for them to manage Lake View Cottage it had never been rented out before. The agency is always giving helpful advice on how to improve the rental experience to our clients as well as efficiently and effectively managing our cottage. Our property is always cleaned to a very high standard especially as we allow owners to bring their dog as well. We have let our cottage through Keswick Cottages since we bought it in 2007. We have received consistently good service from the agency, from initial advice on how to manage the property, with recommendations on what to provide for guests, to support throughout our ownership. It is good to know the business is a local one and with a small staff I always know who is on the end of the phone when I call. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. We stay in the cottage usually about 6 times a year and are able to book ourselves in directly and easily. We love staying there and it is always clean and fresh when we arrive.
The cleaning service has always been good but is now excellent and we have recently started using the linen service which means we don’t have to worry about keeping up the standards of linen. It is always reassuring to know that they are keeping an eye on the property and will let us know if there are any problems. The cottage books well and this is an incentive for us to make improvements to keep our guests happy.

Twenty two years of cottage letting, unwilling to hand over the reins to a third party as we were convinced that no one could operate our small business as well as we could, we did everything, answering queries, bookings, cleaning, washing, ironing calendar to keep up to date never completely free, always something to see to.
How wrong can you be? Keswick Cottages management is on a different level to what is achievable by the average person as is the cleaning, lettings particularly shoulder/quiet season have never been anywhere near as good, little difference in income, massive difference in quality time.

As we do not live in Keswick we have used the cleaners provided through the company for the cleaning and changeover. The house is always immaculate once prepared for guests and any issues which need our attention are always communicated to us promptly. We would not consider changing to a different holiday company now we are with Keswick Cottages.
