The Lakes Distillery, established in 2011, nestles on the north shore of Bassenthwaite Lake and their majestic surroundings, near Keswick, inspire an artistic ethos and their range of fine whiskies, gins and vodka.
Visitors enjoy interactive tours of the state-of-the-art distillery, to suit all ages. Following the journey of how the distillery’s spirits are made, each tour ends with a tasting of their award-winning spirits. The tour is very immersive and could make a fantastic gift for whisky, gin or vodka enthusiasts! The list of tours on offer currently include:

A Taste of Gin
Discover what makes the Lakes Gin simply beautiful (which it is!). Explore their stillroom and carefully selected botanicals before sampling the Lakes Gin collection with a well-deserved G&T.

Informal dining and drinks are available at the on-site restaurant: Bistro at the Distillery. Here they showcase locally-sourced ingredients with honest, hearty flavours and a fantastic selection of dishes! A lovely way to finish your tour, or just to enjoy something different than the classic ‘pub lunch’.
The distillery store is fully stocked with their entire product range. As well as giftware from other local makers. Whether you are looking for a souvenir or a unique gift, the gift shop suits all tastes.

Booking: You can book a table at the Bistro via the Lakes Distillery website, as well as distillery experiences and tours.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome in the courtyard and garden areas, as well as in the shop. Dogs are not allowed on the tours or in the Bistro, unless they are assistance dogs.
Allergens/Dietary: No items are explicitly listed as gluten-free on their menu, though it asks you to advise staff of any allergies or dietary requirements. There are limited vegetarian dishes on the menu, and no vegan dishes.
