The Lake District Wildlife Park is a must-see for all animal lovers! Set in breath-taking scenery just ten minutes from Keswick, you’ll find there’s plenty to see and do.
Meet over 100 species – from zebras and meerkats to endangered species like gibbons and lemurs. There are a range of engaging daily presentations, bringing you closer to many of the park’s favourites. It’s fun for all the family and a great opportunity to meet and learn about some of our most endangered species.
With conservation at the heart of the park, Lake District Wildlife Park actively work with animal and conservation charities such as Seed Madagascar, the Forest Guardian Scheme, and BIAZA. Celebrity Hooded Vulture ‘Gonzo’, living in the park, is an ambassador for the International Vulture Programme, a multi agency charity set up to help conserve both Asian and African vultures.
There are outdoor and indoor play areas, with soft play and a ball pool for when the Lake District weather takes a turn- which is often!
If you fancy making your visit that extra bit special, the park offers some fantastic experiences for you to take part in:

Bird of Prey Experience
After enjoying a Bird of Prey flying display, your experience will begin. The park’s falconer will teach you how to recall and hold the birds, starting with an owl. After this, you’ll move outside to spend time with the free-flying hawks who will fly from the trees to your gloved hand. As your confidence grows, you will then be able to move on to the bigger birds!
