Perched 1,000ft up in the Whinlatter Forest above Braithwaite, The Cottage in the Wood is a unique Michelin-star Restaurant lead by Beth and Jack Bond, combining Beth’s passion for sustainability, having managed the acclaimed Apricity Restaurant in Mayfair, and Jack’s experience working in some of the best hotels and restaurants in the world, including Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, Claridges, and the Berkeley.

The Cottage offers two different tasting menus, alternating daily, meaning you can visit twice in a row and still have a unique experience each time.

In the evening, they offer a 7 course tasing menu for £120 and a lighter 5 course tasting menu for £75 for lunch.

Booking: The restaurant diary is open 6 months in advance. Phone lines are open for reservations Tuesday to Friday 11:00-16:00pm. Cancellations may be available short-notice, in which case they will be posted on the Cottage’s social media, @thecottageinthewoodskeswick. Walk-ins are not permitted.

Dogs: Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant.

Allergens/Dietary: May be catered for with advance notice.

Seating: Indoor.

Not suitable for children or toddlers. Though older children and teens may enjoy the tasting menus, there is no concession rate or separate children’s menu.
