Firstly, their modern, independent gallery hosts a dynamic programme of events. Bringing together established and emerging artists in curated and touring exhibitions.
Secondly, their independent cinema has a 60-foot giant screen and digital sound. They have a varied programme that includes new releases, family favourites and live-streaming events to transport you into the world’s great theatres and opera houses.
Thirdly, their collection of shops sell clothing, home and lifestyle products that stand out for their beauty and quality. Curated with Cumbria in mind but inspired by craft, design and talent from far and wide.
Finally, they have a 100-seat ground-floor Rheged cafe that is a relaxed dining space. Their menus are inclusive and flexible. Changing with the seasons and featuring handmade food and drink from the community of local producers. Furthermore, there is a new outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the sunshine on picnic benches with parasols, set against the historic backdrop of their 1822 lime kilns—now a Grade II listed building and among the earliest industrial kilns in the area.
