Established in 2022, Lake District Wine is an independent wine shop, bar and tasting room based in the Lake District town of Keswick, serving a selection of wines by the glass (and the occasional beer and spirit too) alongside a small menu of tasty nibbles.
Jenni has had an affinity for wine since observing her uncle perform his sommelier duties in the family hotel. After completing a degree in performing arts, she then went on to own a small and very popular café bar in the heart of Keswick with her husband James where the wine list became her ‘baby’ and allowed her to push the boundaries of the local wine offering; even shipping wines directly from Italy to sell in the bar.
Their range of wines are hand-selected from makers and distributors across the globe, including a few Lake District local wines!
As well as being an established wine venue, Lake District Wine also hosts a variety of events (keep an eye on their social media!) including comedy nights, themed evenings, and immersive evenings at the Keswick Alhambra Cinema.
Looking for a unique way to celebrate a birthday, hen do, or a get-together with friends? Lake District Wine can bring the wine tasting to your holiday accommodation. So, even if you aren’t staying in central Keswick accommodation, you can still enjoy an evening of being wined and dined out in the surrounding villages of Braithwaite, Thornthwaite, Portinscale and Threlkeld.
