Located in the heart of Keswick, Kong Adventure Centre offers a fantastic range of both indoor and outdoor activities for all ages! The climbing wall itself is a great venue, offering an abundance of climbing routes making it an ideal rainy weather activity.

Indoor
Roped Climbing
Kong is home to 48 roped lines and 5 auto belays up to 12m. Their walls are a mix of top rope and lead lines with grades ranging form 4+ to 8a+, meaning there is lots to suit all levels. There are also varying wall types such as overhangs, steps, slabs and verts. The wall is open for experienced climbers; but do not worry if you are not, there are plenty of courses on offer to introduce you to the sport!

Bouldering
Bouldering is a fantastic way to pick up basic skills and experience the fun of climbing without the need for a harness and ropes. The climbing is kept at a low level and thick foam matting is used to protect the climber if they do fall.
Children can use the bouldering room under the supervision of a parent or guardian over the age of 18.
The knowledgeable instructors will be on hand to give you an introduction to the sport and make sure you understand the risks before you get on the wall.
Krazy Kong
If you are looking for a fun way to get involved with climbing then look no further than Krazy Kong! Consisting of a range of whacky and interactive climbing walls, each with a different theme guaranteed to be lots of fun! You do not need to have any previous climbing experience as there are auto belay systems in place for each wall and instructors will be on hand to show you how to clip the climber in.
Suitable for ages 5+.
Kids Hard Play
If you are looking for something a bit different or need a wet weather alternative for your children, then check out Kong’s adventurous hard play area based in our café. Its a great way for younger kids to experience climbing, bouldering, and caving in a fun, safe environment in which they will be able to learn through play. There is even a rope bridge and big dragon that breathes smoke!

Outdoor
Rock Climbing Taster
A chance to experience Rock Climbing on a real rock face, hidden in the beautiful Borrowdale Valley. Kong’s experienced instructors will take you through the rudiments of rock skills, belaying and abseiling.
Minimum age 8 years.
Ghyll Scrambling and Canyoning
A guided descent of a mountain watercourse in the heart of the Lake District, where you’ll be challenged with as many slides and jumps as you can handle. It’s your chance to experience in full, nature’s most exhilarating playground.
