Exhibitions, events and displays telling the story of Keswick’s landscape, history and culture with a shop and great café. Nestled in beautiful Fitz Park, next to the popular Fitz Park playground and outdoor gym.

Keswick Museum and Art Gallery care for around 20,000 objects in their collection, which reflect life in the Keswick area. Their collection themes consist of Social and Industrial History, Geology and Natural History and the Work of Local Artists, Writers, and Craftspeople. So, if you’re looking to learn in the Lakes, or add an educational experience when visiting the Lake District with children

Keswick Museum only displays 5-10% of their collection at any time, so each visit promises a unique experience.

On site, you’ll find Café West, with indoor and outdoor seating, serving hot and cold food served every day, with a takeaway service available. Café West is ran by West House, who provide support services and training to disabled people, promoting independence and equity in Cumbria.

Its a fantastic spot to visit with the family and children, with a fantastic café, and Fitz Park playground to the back there is lots to keep little ones busy!

Booking: Booking is not necessary for the museum or café, though certain exhibitions may need to be booked in advance. All tickets include free return visits for 12 months

Dogs: Only assistance dogs are welcome throughout the museum. Dogs are welcome in Café West.
