Located in the heart of town is the ever-popular Keswick Market. Attracting both locals and tourists, 60 traders offer a wide selection of award-winning food and handcrafted gifts. It creates a fantastic atmosphere within the town and is a fantastic way of discovering local produce and creatives.
Widely regarded as the best market in the Lake District, each stall has a distinctive offering, ranging from local produce to arts and crafts, as well as a renowned selection of hot and cold foods to sample. Some of our current favourites are the pastel de nata stall (the tastiest Portuguese tart you will ever taste- in Cumbria), Pie on Demand for a tasty range of pies and sausage rolls, and the funky socks stand for all your funky sock needs! But don’t just take out word for it, pop down and discover some of your own favourites!
When you have shopped ’till you’ve dropped, there are a number of pubs and cafes on the main street just waiting to refuel you!
The market is on every Thursday and Saturday from March through to November; during the quieter months the Thursday market may not be on so please be aware. It is also weather dependent as occasionally the market may be called off due to high winds (rain does not often stop the market- we are used to it here!).
Open from 8am to 4.30pm
