Keswick Climbing Wall is just a five-minute drive from the centre of Keswick, situated next to the historic Castlerigg Stone Circle and offers magnificent views over to the Helvellyn Range.

With free all-day parking, refreshments available, indoor and outdoor activities for all ages, no matter the weather, Keswick Climbing Wall and Outdoor Activity Centre has something for everyone, and up to 14 activities on site.

Inside the Climbing Wall is the Hungry Heifer Café, the perfect place to grab a coffee, or spectate climbers.

For beginners, one-hour introductory lessons are available for £25pp, including belay technique, harness hire and entry.

Refresher sessions are available for £15pp.

Experienced climbers can enjoy reduced rates, at £8.00 for ages 6+, and £6.00 for ages 5 and under. Harness and belay, or shoes hire is available for £3.00 per item.

Dogs: Dogs are welcome in the climbing wall, the café and in the grounds but not in the children’s play area (Rookery Woods) and not on the climbing mats. They even sell ‘doggy ice cream’ in the café!

Allergens: No gluten-free items are explicitly listed on the café menu, though may be available at the discretion of staff. While vegetarian options are listed, vegan options are not.

Seating: Indoor and outdoor seating available. Spectator areas available for non-climbers.
